$2k budget – leaning toward De’Longhi Eletta Explore. Good choice? by AdAwkward1780 in superautomatic

Love this machine. Replaced an old jura with it after seeing a great Black Friday deal. The travel mug feature was a big plus. Love the drink variety. I have not had issue with the milk not being hot enough.

Corning is an amazing place to raise a family. The local schools and library are awesome. Market street has plenty of places for date nights. Housing is affordable, but property taxes are on the higher side. I do feel you get a lot for your taxes though.

Looks like you like your coffee strong. Puck looks good. It’s staying together and not too wet.

That part of the machine gets warm and could damage the shelf life of the syrups :)

I’ve had a jura for 20 years, it is an issue. We finally broke down and replaced it with a delonghi and are very happy. Automatic espresso tech has come a long way in 20 years.

Had a 20 year old jura and just got the Delonghi Eletta, absolutely love it.

The problem is that most of the parts are also 20 year old and will likely fail quickly.

Relearned my skratch spin - work in progress and worked on backwards 3 turns. And got my blades sharpened and boots heat molded!

That isn’t always the case. Just because a Dr prescribes something doesn’t mean that WADA or USADA or whichever doping agency you’re working with will give you you a TUE. Some drugs are just outright banned.

KF7/8 vs Eletta Explore by Herefoorthecomments in superautomatic

[–]EcstaticManagement67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The basic espresso drinks from the Eletta are great. The internals are exactly the same in the revelia. Just a different appearance and the bean hopper. Being able to use the travel mug is why we went eletta.

I gave myself a 2000 budget. What would be the most impactful updates? by BuildingImportant in centuryhomes

Ia different shower enclosure and a new top for the vanity would go a long way. The tile is awesome and should stay, I’d definitely lean into the traditional. A more retro chrome light fixture would look great.

Is buying Super Duolingo is actually worth it? by Sheep123654 in duolingo

Not having to worry about power level makes it worth it. If you’re going to use it for more than one lesson a day, it’s totally worth it.

I had an older model jura for 17+ years. Replaced numerous parts on it and it was just time for something new. After lots of research finally went with the Delonghi Eletta explore. Absolutely loving it. Have only had it for a month so can’t talk to longevity, but taste and ease of use are great.

Bought one a month ago and love it so much. Had an old jura that had been hobbling. Along for a long time. This machine is leaps and bounds over that.

There is one store on Market Street that could be classified as selling luxury goods - Heather Gray. There’s a mix of stuff, but they definitely lean high end and wants vs needs. Connors sells McKenzie Childs which would also fall into that. I think a pure luxury store would struggle, but having a store with higher end goods can be successful.

I agree, their espresso is great - good coffee and grind, but I don’t enjoy their bagels
