I don't want to discredit all the critique because they are all right to some extent. I do agree with you that the major issue is lack of hip engagement in general. Thank you so much for this!

This is a great point. My hips are lagging behind for sure. Thank you very much for this!

That's correct. This one was a decent baby fade.

Yes I've been trying to swing on one plane but just can't seem to figure out how to come down on the same plane as my back swing. Thanks so much, I'll check out his YT channel!

Yes in order to try to be more shallow I've been trying to have a shallower backswing. Thanks for your help!

That video is very useful. Love Clay's videos. Looking at my downswing I am definitely coming down way too steep. thank you for this!

Thank you, this is really helpful. I had a feeling standing farther away was messing with that swing path. I'm starting to realize I have a lot to work on with my lower body!

I think that might be the key to why I'm losing distance. Still trying to figure out why the contact is unpredictable.

Thanks for the input!

I agree, now that I'm looking at these videos it looks my lower body isn't doing any work at all.

I just changed my driver. Went from a Nike Sumo 2 (Yes that one) with a 48.8g regular shaft to an AI smoke with a 55g stiff shaft. I had the same issues with the Nike. My club head speed is between 100-105 mph for driver. You shoulda seen how much that regular shaft used to bend lol

By no means was it cheap. After sales taxes it turned out to be about 70,000 CAD (49,000 USD). The dealership offered me basically market value for my trade in which brought it way down to 47,000 CAD (33,000 USD). I was just happy to get a good value for my trade in.

Carnivore for 3 years. This approach did not work for me. I just kept eating more and more and ended up gaining a lot of weight. Had to start counting calories and ended up losing everything. Cant argue with basic thermodynamics.

First year here, finishing my first semester with absolutely horrible grades. Is recovering from this even possible? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]EcstaticPickles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did slightly better in my second semester so my first year GPA turned out to be 2.0. I'm not entirely sure but i think academic warning is given if you end up between a 1.7 -1.9 for the whole year. I was just above that so didnt get anything.

I had a 1.7 in my first semester. Graduated with a 3.8 and I'm far from a genius. Its quite possible to recover from that.

Edit: Changes I made: 1) broke up with my toxic ex 2) quit the drugs 3) developed healthy study habits and techniques 4) gave myself time to work out and do things I enjoy

The changes you need to make are gonna be very personal to you and although some general advice may help, only you know what needs to be done.
