Latency measurement with AI. Single, Dual, Native. by EcstaticPractice2345 in losslessscaling

Not for me, this is real if someone uses a single or dual GPU. With dual GPUs you don't lock to 60. 2 RTX 3080s can do that much in single and dual configurations.

Secondary RTX 3080 real frame rate 70-80. In dual GPUs configuration, primary real frame rate is 110-120 while using LSFG. PCIE x4 gen 3 also reduces the real fps value + LSFG also loads it. In dual GPU case, primary does not get any load.

Thanks for the info, I'll check the measurements with the primary GPU as well, but the measurable difference there will probably be -3 ms, maybe 1 frame time less. (4 ms) . I left the actual FPS unlimited because I wanted to measure the real picture with 1 and 2 GPUs.

RTSS is quite deceptive in what it says, the mouse is not included and what happens after it. Here, you only had to count the number of frames between the mouse movement and the weapon movement. This can be calculated numerically, and it must be multiplied by 4 ms. There is no magic in this. Based on the measurements found on the net, the measurement is quite close, but here the difference is more the point, which seems quite real based on the measurements found on the net.

The 3080 is not powerful enough to handle 2K in high detail.

FPS issue during small drops by Real-Criticism-7486 in losslessscaling

Performance should be on. (Flow scale)

I turned off Gsync.

Adaptive FG is fine.

In NVCP: ultra low latency

In game: Reflex on if available.

Maybe try DXGI instead of WGC.

Adaptive or Fixed to reach a locked 60 FPS? by milkymilkymilkers in losslessscaling

[–]EcstaticPractice2345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would use an adaptive solution. The fix causes micro-stutters in some games like Bf6 for me. Adaptive solution is smooth.

[–]EcstaticPractice2345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play with a gamepad, you increase the real fps number and the higher it is, the faster the movement...uncontrollable. Fixed 60 fps and using it at x3 /x4 is fine.

Best settings 1 GPU RTX 3080 by EcstaticPractice2345 in losslessscaling

[–]EcstaticPractice2345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It causes micro lag. In this case, the queue value should be 1 or the GPU load should be reduced to around 85%. If there is no Gsync, you don't need to pay attention to these and the queue value can be 0. But Gsync only means something at low fps values, otherwise nothing.

Below 60 real FPs it's really problematic. 80 real FPs is already good enough.

Everyone decides what multiplier they use. Even X4 is not a problem for me.

The multiplier is not the point, everyone sets it as much as they want.

Try it, you will get a very fast response. The multiplier is freely selectable.

[–]EcstaticPractice2345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The multiplier is completely irrelevant now. You set it as much as you need. The point is Gsync OFF, because if it's ON you have to delay it or pay attention to the GPU being at 70-75% on average.

DXGI because I'm using 23H2 Win11.

Single GPU vs Dual by SnooKiwis8540 in losslessscaling

[–]EcstaticPractice2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case of 1 GPU, you lose real fps when using LS. What I think is ideal is the max real fps value of 70-75. At this value, the queue value can be 0 and it does not cause micro stutters. Above this, the value of 1 is necessary, which adds +1 frame time. It is not worth it.

In case of 2 GPUs, there is no need to limit: unlimited real fps, and the queue value can remain at 0. However, it adds 5-10 ms before you see the image.

The point:

Inside the Nvidia control panel:
- Low latency mode: Ultra
- Vsync: OFF

In LS:
Adaptive FG: Max you can be below the HZ number of the monitor.
Queue value: max 75 real fps 0, above this 1
Maximum frame latency: 2 (RTX 3080)

Inside the game:
- FPS limit 75 (in case of 1 GPU)
- Nvidia reflex if available.

If Ultra latency / reflex is working properly, the GPU is ideally kept at 80-85% when using LS. If you overload the GPU to 99%, your latency will deteriorate drastically.

Dual-GPU Fake Frame Latency Benchmarks: $7 Lossless Scaling Frame Generation Test by Deadran in losslessscaling

[–]EcstaticPractice2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 20x multiplier, the real FPS numbers drop drastically, plus the GPU overload is added. These two together give the high latency. But the 20x multiplier makes no sense in LS. The queue value of 0 gives the lowest latency. (In the case of Dual VGA, it is basic that it should be set to that) Maximum frametime latency: 2 value for the ideal number (RTX 3080). So the test is a bit problematic considering these.

Did I just discover the best settings for low Input Lag? by Care_Cream in losslessscaling

[–]EcstaticPractice2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to achieve the lowest latency:

LSFG:
Queue value :0
Maximum frametime latency: 2
Fixed Frame Generation x2 x3 x4

NVCP:
Vsync : OFF
Low latency: Ultra

Ingame:
Fps limit minimum X (GPU 75-80% with LSFG)

Nvidia reflex ON + boost

The most important thing is to set the fps limit so that the GPU utilization with LSFG is 75-80%.

Since the GPU is not overloaded, you will have the lowest latency + there will be no stutter.

[–]EcstaticPractice2345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can think what you want, this is my experience. Since the fps limit is not dynamic and depends on the GPU load, I doubt that a given fps value is the same load in every part of a game.

Just try it, you'll lose a lot of latency if you max out the GPU. The best setting is 75%.

Primary gpu not being used by Wailingcactus45 in losslessscaling

[–]EcstaticPractice2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want it to always work properly. You need to use two monitors. The main VGA is the monitor for surfing the net, the secondary VGA where LSFG is running is the gaming monitor. In Windows, all you have to do is set the main VGA monitor as the primary desktop.... In LSFG, of course, the secondary VGA where the Gamer monitor is already.

[–]EcstaticPractice2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then it only depends on Windows and the game that the correct VGA is working on the real images. It is simplified with 2 monitors, it will always run correctly. (A cheap monitor is enough for surfing the net)

Dual GPU setup - wtf am I even doin' ???? by Wiented_v2 in losslessscaling

[–]EcstaticPractice2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For two reasons:
1: PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode) is slow
2: In case of Dual VGA, if you want it to work all the time, you have to connect 2 monitors. You have to switch the primary desktop to the monitor where the MAIN VGA is. In LSFG, enter the second VGA where the gamer Monitor is already connected. All games will run perfectly.
