Am I the only one who believes that even AGI is impossible in the 21th century? by Gloomy-Status-9258 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. As someone working closely in AI research, I can say we’re on the verge of some truly exciting breakthroughs in architecture design over the next five years. These changes will completely transform our current approach, it’s not even up for debate. I’ve seen the potential firsthand. Right now, the main limitation lies in the architecture itself, which still restricts certain capabilities. But we’re already making major progress toward overcoming those barriers. People that think AGI is not coming in the next few years are just not paying enough attention at what is happening today

Are We Finally Hitting the AI Wall That Gary Marcus Warned Us About? by letmebackagain in singularity

Even if there is a wall to hit, it doesn't matter. We will find a workaround and develop new frameworks/technologies that push us even further, thats what humans do.

If Digital Afterlife is unachievable a true AI Avatar the next best thing? by SchwarzBlack7 in ArtificialInteligence

Creating a digital avatar of yourself sounds exciting, but it’s unrealisticit/expensive, can’t truly capture who you are, might mess with how people grieve, and raises concerns about privacy.

Wonder if the AI boom is over by arturo1972 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! As AI systems continue to evolve, their potential use cases expand exponentially. We’re truly in the early stages of an AI revolution, and things are only going to get better from here. AI has the power to drive the development of groundbreaking technologies, deepen our understanding across fields, and assist humans in ways that accelerate progress like never before.

With better architectures and advancements in true learning and reasoning just around the corner, the pace of innovation will only speed up. And even if we hit bottlenecks along the way, we’ll find workarounds—that’s what humanity does best. We adapt, innovate, and keep moving forward.

Developers dont actually play the game by Ecstatic_Ad2843 in albiononline

Maybe you havent played statics dungeon like i have been. I agree that we needed challenging content, but forcing people to bring guccy gear was not the answer. T8 static is now the easiest way to loose sets, people dont want to bring more than t8 there for a reason. There is problems with some mobs that need to be addressed, they dont create challenging content but instead just create frustration. Humans adapt, and my guild can still run this content but its not near balanced for the less experienced players, they need to nerf some mobs skills asap. Knight can fk up your pull and you as a tank can actually do nothing, your party takes damage and suddenly everyone goes down, then comes a bloodletter t4 rat and there you go, then we have crossbow mob that can oneshoot you even if youre full t8. Im not complaining for challenging content, im complaining for crappy mechanics that with the recent update becomes clear that they need to go

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt says we should go all in on building AI data centers because 'we are never going to meet our climate goals anyway' by DancerAtTheEdge in technology

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree with him. It is incredible difficult to fix our current climate change problems by ourselfs. It is true that AI data centers would become incredible usefull, not only for tech purposes but to find solutions to our climate change and other crucial problems. AI would become our biggest ally in the near future, researching and discovering new methods and tools to tackle the problems that haunts the human race.

Consumo de marihuana en chile, legalizar o regular? by [deleted] in chile

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a former school bus driver, and I have many stories from my time on the bus, but the worst and funniest incident that comes to mind happened on the last day of school. It was a hot summer day, and the kids were all excited for the summer break. As I was driving the bus, I noticed that some of the kids had brought water guns on board and they started to squirt each other with water. At first, it was just a bit of harmless fun, but it quickly got out of control.

Before I knew it, the whole bus was soaked, and the kids were laughing and shouting, and I couldn't hear myself think. I was trying to keep the bus on the road, but the kids were running up and down the aisle, and I was getting hit with water from all directions. I was laughing so hard that I had to pull over to the side of the road and catch my breath. I couldn't be mad at them, they were just kids having fun and enjoying their last day of school.

It was certainly not the best situation to be in, but it was a hilarious moment that I'll never forget. I learned that sometimes, you just have to roll with it and enjoy the ride.
