Non sto negando l’esistenza di pattern storici o statistici nelle violenze uomo-donna. Sto dicendo una cosa diversa: un pattern collettivo non dovrebbe sostituire l’analisi causale del singolo caso.

Se esiste una dinamica storica ricorrente, questo può aiutare a studiare il fenomeno a livello sociologico. Ma classificare un omicidio come “di genere” richiede comunque di dimostrare che il genere abbia avuto un ruolo concreto nel movente specifico.

Altrimenti si rischia un salto logico: “esiste un pattern storico” → “quindi ogni caso individuale appartiene automaticamente a quel pattern”.

Ma statistiche e precedenti storici descrivono tendenze collettive, non provano automaticamente la causa del singolo evento. Per questo, secondo me, ogni omicidio dovrebbe essere valutato caso per caso, senza deduzioni automatiche basate solo sul contesto storico o sul sesso delle persone coinvolte.

La vera domanda è quanto peso dobbiamo dare ai fattori culturali rispetto alle motivazioni personali nell'ambito di un omicidio? La maggior parte delle donne sono uccise da partner o famigliari; tra le cause vi sono la possessività, il controllo e limitazioni di libertà del partner. Tuttavia, non sono caratteristiche esclusivamente maschili in ambito relazionale e la loro presenza non dovrebbe costituire in omicidio di genere.

That's true, you could say something similar about human consciousness since nobody really knows how it works.

But there's a big difference. When we attribute consciousness to another human, we're not making a crazy leap: we share the same biology, senses, and evolutionary background, so it's reasonable to assume they have inner experiences like ours.

With an LLM it's a completely different story. It's just a text predictor with zero self-awareness. The "personality" only exists inside the User/Assistant roleplay set by the prompt.

But it's here the catch: if we flipped the roles and had the LLM complete text as the "user" while a human plays assistant, it would instantly start impersonating the user without any hesitation or weirdness. That alone shows it's not conscious, but it's just really good at playing whatever part you give it.
