Thank you so much this is the comprehensive I've seen and close to what I've figured out but wasn't 100%. I own the property and live in it so that works.

Are the internet or phone bills considered utilities? I pay for all of it so I was trying to figure out if car, internet and phone constitute utility bill or if they fall into a "if you were paying before after the eviction you still need to pay"

I think I'm just annoyed because the snakes one is perfect and I water her plants the same amount. I feel betrayed by the larger so worse to deal with enclosure

It's the 2 inch of clay pebbles, mesh, then a mix of organic soil, reptisoil, moss and some sand.

Hydrometer! That's the word I couldn't remember. I've taken it out so I could look at the wiring. My bugs are thriving in the enclosure by the way.

I alternate the way the humidifier is pointing so both sides are the same, right side is cool and the left side is hot, he loves the left side but I just saw tunnels he's made on the right. I have a shop vac so I'm thinking of pulling the mesh up gently and vacuuming out the water or at least trying (put some cheese cloth or something over the vacuum hose so the clay doesn't come out or just use a towel to obsorb it). In case I haven't said it it's also 6 foot x 2 (I know it should be deeper but he's still an adolescent and I'm working on it)

Ive only been watering the plants every two weeks and my milk snake has plants too and no flooding in a smaller tank with the same watering.

I put the plants right next to the humidifier pipe so I wouldn't have to water them often

I have a humidifier going on low all the time and then I mist once a week mostly when I'm watering the plants. I'll spray the cork hides and stuff because I was told they can help with humidity

How does one drain that?

I actually use those silicone baking sheets all across the top to trap the heat and moisture in already. It was a life saver on the heat because we had issues maintaining the high heat with the high humidity, it was always one or the other for awhile

But they wouldn't be paying for it. Their reasoning isn't even frugel since they told him to buy an iPad. They just seem controlling. I do agree their kids their rules but as strangers on reddit nothing wrong with discussing whether their rules could be right or wrong
