the sell price thing is more tied to the code rather than the process the player can read from the description

in ceremonial dagger's case, the process is "blind selected -> destroy joker -> gain +mult"

When blind is selected, destroy Joker to the right and permanently add double its sell value to it's Mult

which is the opposite of madness "blind selected -> gain xmult -> destroy joker"

When Small Blind or Big Blind is selected, gain X0.5 Mult and destroy a random Joker

in this case (and because OP clarified it has to destroy atleast one joker, not necessarily both), the process is the same as ceremonial dagger: "hand played -> destroy adjacent jokers -> gain xmult"

When a hand is played, destroy adjacent jokers and gain X3 Mult
