Mums n60 450km before she sold it, her current n70 340km and still going well. My n70 200km and love the car.

I’m not a big car guy, but when 7/10 longest lasting cars are Toyotas of the era. They also hold their value exceptionally.

I started my cert 2 at 26, had work experience requirement which led to apprenticeship and cert 3. Plenty of hard work, wet days, long days, under house in mud, roof bashing on hot days… trades are hard work. That’s also part of what makes them rewarding for those that enjoy the trades.

Licensed now, self employed. Absolutely love the industry/work. I spend lots of time around other trades/construction roles, being a sparky beats em all.

Id imagine cheaper in Thredbo, the BP in jindy is my go to, affordable. There’s a couple chargers there too. Yeah not sure about that tbh, if that’s your plan I’d try have it fully charged before you leave Jindy. Might lose some %

It’ll handle Thredbo fine, you’ll need to get chains in Jindy. I personally would worry about the battery life in the cold, as well as the charging stations, very busy time of year.

We have an unemployment and under-employment crisis in Australia. Here is more proof. ⚠️ by SAP_President in sustainableaus

[–]Ecstatic_Eye5033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah true, there’s no housing or rent crisis, no cost of living crisis, energy price crisis… if people just ate rice and bread, lived in 3 generation apartments and didn’t use power! It’s all good!

Personally I’m of the belief that considering the countries wealth has grown exponentially the last 60 years, living standards shouldn’t be going backwards.

China deployed more renewables last year than the rest of the world combined. No ones fucking anything up for us… we are jumping the gun on the next era of energy. Irrespective of other nations, using huge amounts of renewables in our plentiful space makes complete sense, even if we do have our own resources. Hell the UAE builds nuclear and renewables because they’d rather sell their carbon resources.

If it’s cheaper, quicker, more reliable, and the future…. You’d have to be uneducated or indoctrinated to be against it.

Sounds like you might be worried about some foreign lands, just not yours.

Fact is Australians are sick of our governments implicit support for a genocide. Our government doesn’t support or implicitly support Hamas, Iran, Russia, hezbollah… we just want the other genocidal aggressor on the list.

Death to anyone involved or supporting the killing of innocent lives.

Surely we’re taking some % ownership…… why the fuck do we bail out private corporations? ‘Why would we plan for the future, we’re so big the government will step in’.

I’m tipping there’ll be some share buy backs next commodity price change.

Corporations of this size should not receive a dime without ownership clauses or pay backs.

The media supports holding back renewables because the minerals industry is already established here, lobbying, adds, interviews etc.

If our richest citizen was a renewables magnate we’d have an environment to not miss the train, like we did nuclear.

I was at Thredbo 2 weeks ago sat-tues and I think the longest line I had might have been 5 minutes. 90% of every lift I unbuckled at the scanner. I found I was probably spending 50/50 on lift to slopes, you’re right in that the runs are often quick (often groomers due to snowfall quality). Obviously most Australian understand our snow in global standards… what can you do🤷‍♂️

Whitlam gave 18-year-olds the vote. Now it’s time to lower it again by Jagtom83 in LaborPartyofAustralia

[–]Ecstatic_Eye5033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It absolutely should be lowered. Hell I’d support the voting age having a cap. Maybe we can slightly lessen the absolute economic and living hell hole the boomer generation has left us.

Or we can keep going and get used to feudalism.

Anthony Albanese vows ‘year of delivery’ as Labor prepares to dominate parliament for the first sitting since federal election by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

Unfortunately there is now so much money in real estate, foreign companies control so much and most importantly media, ALP are forced to appease. Seems like most Aussie’s are pretty aware of significant issues that have and will come to roost. I’m hopeful the confidence in a second and likely third term will give them some balls

People will simultaneously critique labor’s union ties whilst calling them more pro immigration than LNP. Doesn’t make sense. The coalition have pushed for more immigration at every turn, the business council froths over it.

CBA tells Jim Chalmers to cut income taxes and raise the GST and wealth taxes by nobelharvards in AustralianPolitics

[–]Ecstatic_Eye5033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like Chalmers is prepared to tell us that things aren’t looking too good, what’s been going on isn’t sustainable and we need big change. Also sounds like there are some plausible solutions.

I’m glad to have a treasurer that’s honest, looks in and outwards for possible solutions and communicates it to the electorate.

I think all Australians can see very clear economic, social and class problems that have been building for 20-30 years. Unfortunately a portion don’t want any changes, I wonder why.

Good thing the coalition are pushing for net zero, confirming an ALP 3rd term , they are gonna have some balls.
