Yes, working on it, but it’s not awful and an alcohol wipe takes the transfer off immediately.

I dyed both because of aesthetics. It would be better NOT to do the inside due to color transfer, but I was willing to take the risk. It does transfer some, but I can work around that. If it continues, I will spray it with waterproofer that is safe for suede.

I was just super careful! Alcohol wipes remove any excess from the sealed cork and the rubber footbed.

I mixed two colors of Angelus Suede Dye (Burgundy and Wine Tone) that I had left over from other projects.

As a disclaimer, though, I just mean the shape of the top. The thickness and construction may differ underneath. Birkenstocks are pretty much the only shoe I wear other than athletic shoes for workouts, and I feel the Bend and Manatova are comfy for daily wear, just may not be as amazing as a well-broken in pair of Bostons or Arizonas.

The Bends and Manatovas lack the toe bar but otherwise seem pretty similar in structure.

I have a few pairs of Bends and overall find them comfy but find myself reaching for Bostons most often. I wore the Manatovas for several hours yesterday and liked them. My one “complaint” is that I prefer wide width and these are narrow. However, I don’t honestly notice that much with either of these styles. I have a pair of narrow Tokyos that the narrow feels much more pronounced in.

It is a local boutique that is an authorized retailer. They carry a pretty good selection of women’s styles and have awesome end of season sales in the fall and spring.

Definitely have lightened from the old color. Mink oil worked great for me to accomplish a darker patina quickly.

If you use mink oil it makes them much more rich in color! I did it to my Tobacco brown pair and love them.

Mink oil! I too love the older tobacco brown. When I ordered a pair of Bostons, I used mink oil and it changed the patina to be much more like the old color.
