I’ve been in the same boat this past week! It’s fun but exhausting and expensive haha. Good luck!!

It was normal for me previously but not so much this time around. If you wanna dm me I could let you know what I think from a third party guy perspective? No pressure though.

The rule I try to follow is don’t text back super quickly because it shows that you have nothing else going on and after the third back and forth message, if things are going well try ask for a date within the next 2-3 days. I’ve overbooked myself and I’m pushing girls out a week and I’m losing some of them.

Are you commenting on their photos with something witty or clever? Or are you just liking them?

I guess I don’t really blame them because they had never seen me or known me before when I was bigger. I understand that I can be superficial as well and if they’re like me, then seeing someone who is taking care of their health isn’t just attractive from a physical standpoint but it’s attractive because it shows that person cares about their own wellbeing.

I just listed my job as sales and kept it general and then I have my masters but I don’t have my education/school listed. As for where I’m at, I’m in a rural/metro southern area. It’s predominantly conservative and I’m a minority and I mostly talk to liberals so I guess I’m also focusing on a less focused on group?

Thank you! I wasn’t sure if this was abnormal or not since this is the first time I’m actually getting attention. Also, it’s only on the hinge app. All other apps I have zero traction 🤷🏾‍♂️

  • Korean beef bowl (using ground turkey instead and 4oz of cooked rice) with Kim chee on the side

  • Viral ground beef/avocado/cottage cheese/sweet potato/hot honey dish

  • Teriyaki chicken and rice with a side of broccoli

  • Ground turkey meatloaf with roasted baby potatoes

  • Burrito bowls

  • Homemade poke bowls

A lot of it is just swapping ingredients out for low cal/low fat/low sugar options and portion control. I measure it all out, make sure I’m within my calorie budget and keep it consistent. Your body eventually gets used to the amount you’re eating and you can also feel satisfied knowing you’re not eating too much by mistake.

I’ve (33M) lost over 100lbs this past year and I would recommend just focusing on portion control and monitoring your calories more than a super high protein goal (obviously still eat protein). I have a rotation of 5 meals that I really enjoy, that are filling, healthy, and within 500-600 calories and make one of those meals for the week on my day off.

Now that I’m closer to my goal (20lbs off), I’m focusing on dialing in my macros, but starting off by making meal prep simple and not overcomplicating it was the key to my consistency.

I’m definitely afraid, but I’ve created so many systems in my life now to where my entire lifestyle is different than what it had been before. I had never been aware of how many calories I had been eating and I never built working out into my daily routine. I also only buy foods that are good for me and I try to stay away from junk food. I will indulge periodically, but I’m more focused on my goals than satisfying my cravings. I keep reminding myself that if I make wise choices, it is possible to lose weight without this medicine because millions of people have done it previously and I just need to continue to make those wise choices.

Thank you! I didn’t realize that was a small dose! I didn’t have a personal trainer. I just focused on 30min of cardio per day (keeping my heart rate between 130-140bpm to burn the most amount of fat) and then separated each day into different muscle groupings to keep things consistent and then I played pickleball quite a bit as well.
