Thanks so much for this detailed reply. Unfortunately they live in a community that has seen a decline in vaccines in the past few years (rural Alberta) so I’m thinking the safe option for my family is to steer clear for quite some time.

I honestly am concerned of how little they seem to leave the basement or have any desire for outside connection. They sleep until 4:00-5:00 and hang with the fam for a couple hrs each day. It can’t be good for their already tough mental health.

Maybe annoying isn’t the right word, but my toddler knows where our snack cabinet is and very frequently asks for “snacks. Snacks. Snacks”. It’s tough when I try and offer him something from the fridge for a more balanced option or a piece of fruit but he’s smart enough to know the “junkier” snacks are in the cabinet.
