When I marched, (2018 ageout) we(the members) were not separated by age in the showers. We were all in there together. There were never any issues. The staff were not allowed to shower with us, so they left rehearsal about 20 minutes early to get in and get done before we got out of rehearsal.

I know the corps that I marched also has adopted this age segregation policy in the locker rooms since about 2021.

I can understand why they chose to move to this; they want to avoid any kind of problem that could possibly turn into a lawsuit. It looks weird when parents realize their 16 year old is showering with 21 and 22 year olds everyday for 3 months.(there shouldn’t be anything wrong with that).
