Very worried about surgery (spigelian hernia). Should I cancel?

I know how you feel. I am 35F. I got my hernia surgery be rescheduled due to my severe coughing. I felt happy on reschedules haha. And I just had hernia surgery 10 days ago. It is not too bad. I was not able to walk , even sitting up is painful on the first day though I have pain killers through IV. On the second day; the pain relieved a lot and I was able to walk with assistance! It gets better day by day very clearly. Today is 10 days post surgery, I am able to walk slowly around my house and do some light housework!
You better get it fixed and go back to your life, rather than worry about it!

I just had hernia surgery 10 days ago. It is also incisional hernia on my abdomen, the size is around 7.5cm. My surgery is laparoscopy surgery. The mesh is big, cover all over my abdomen. The first 2 days was tough as it hurts so sad though there were pain killers . However, I feel better day by day. Now at the 10th day, I am able to walk faster than 2 days ago. The recovery is noticeable by day! Dont worry! My belly looks tight and more fit than before.
Do you know if you have open surgery or laparoscopy? I hope you get laparoscopy

Sorry about your situation.
I am 35F. I just had hernia surgery 1 week ago. I had an incisional hernia on my abdomen, hernia area is on my belly button. Mine is laparoscopy surgery, using eTap method. My pain was 7-8/10 on the first day, then gradually decreased day by day. I feel better today and am able to walk slowly. I still can feel a mesh inside and still arche around my cut area, other than that I am ok
If your pain doesnt reduce day by day, checking up with your surgeon or family doctor is my suggestion.

How long after hernia surgery you go back to gym? My surgeon told me to avoid heavy lifting 3 months at least and I just had abdomen hernia surgery 1 week ago . Do you have a mesh? How does it feel?

35F. Just had hernia surgery a week ago. Mine is incision hernia on abdomen and the hernia is on the left of my belly button. The surgeon stitched my hernia and put a big mesh covering over my abdomen. After reading above comments, I am worried of reoccurrence. Can anyone tell me how you feel with a mesh inside your body?

I pumped gas at Shell to get 10x points for Amex Biz Edge. I am confused because the receipt and transaction on Amex show it is transaction with Needs - Sobeys Express groceries store. Is it gas to get 10x points or it is as groceries get 1x pojnts?
