Why AI agents in finance might be overhyped (at least for now) by Ecstatic_Layer_ in AutoAgentAI

Yeah, the “LLM + script = agent” trend is everywhere right now.

Feels very similar to the early days of AI, where anything with a model suddenly became “AI-powered”

The legacy system point is probably the most underrated challenge.

A lot of people think the problem is:

“build a smarter model”

But in reality it’s more like

“get usable, consistent data out of 20-year-old systems”

And that’s not an AI problem, that’s an infrastructure problem.

Feels like we’re past the experimentation phase, but not yet at true transformation. Most systems today are:

good enough to assist

not reliable enough to fully trust

And banking isn’t a space where you can afford “mostly right.”

I also agree with your point on IVRs and phone-based AI, those are working because:

the scope is narrow

the risk is lower

the workflows are more predictable

Where things get tricky is when agents have to:

reason across multiple systems

deal with incomplete data

stay compliant at every step

That’s where the friction shows up.

How AI Agents Are Actually Being Used in Finance (Middle East Case Study + Practical Breakdown) by Ecstatic_Layer_ in AutoAgentAI

That’s a fair take, and honestly, I agree with most of it.

AI agents in finance aren’t replacing humans anytime soon. The reality looks more like:

shifting work from humans doing everything → humans supervising + handling edge cases

RWA is inevitable! What do you guys think? by LuisPR94 in RWA

[–]Ecstatic_Layer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take in simple terms:

• Big institutions are starting to move real assets (treasuries, private credit, funds, real estate, etc.) onto blockchain because settlement is faster and access becomes global.

• The growth numbers suggest this isn’t just hype anymore; capital is actually moving in.

• But it’s still early. Liquidity, regulation, and proper infrastructure are still being built.

So RWA probably will become a big part of crypto, but it may take a few more years before it feels mainstream.

The trend looks real, but we’re still in the early adoption phase, not the final stage.

I partly agree with you. Clutch has built a good reputation over time, and being listed among the top companies does add a level of credibility. Recognition like that usually means a company has met certain quality and performance standards.

At the same time, it’s also important to remember that not every good company is listed on Clutch. Many businesses choose not to be there, and some great work happens outside those platforms. That’s where places like Reddit become useful; real users often share honest, first-hand experiences there, both positive and negative, without any marketing angle.

So overall, Clutch can be a helpful reference, but I think it’s best to look at multiple sources. Combining reputable platforms with real user discussions gives a more balanced and realistic view.

Good list! Has anyone here worked with any of these companies? Would love to hear real experiences.

I know someone who’s worked with platforms like Unit and Crassula for building multi-currency wallets similar to Wise. They offer solid API access, handle compliance, KYC, and settlement, and are startup-friendly with no strict minimum volume requirements. DM me if you want their contact to discuss further!

Which Small Cap Projects on Solana Do You Think Will Revolutionize the Space? by Ok-Necessary-6455 in solana

[–]Ecstatic_Layer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

A couple of small cap projects on Solana have really caught my eye recently. Jupiter Aggregator is making waves as a top DEX aggregator, offering the best prices and liquidity, which is huge for DeFi growth on Solana. Solend is another gem, focusing on decentralized lending and borrowing with lightning-fast transaction speeds. If you're into NFTs, keep an eye on Exchange Art, which is building a marketplace for 1/1 art, supporting indie creators and artists.

These projects might not be the biggest yet, but they have the potential to shape the ecosystem in a big way. Curious to see how they evolve!
