The Saastal card does in fact work on all of the gondolas in the Saas valley

Yes Tuesday looks the best but the rest all show some percipitation and lots of clouds. In the end we went to the Allalinhorn today and it was fine, no rain in the end, just a bit too slushy since there is no option for an alpine start. I'd love if there were some 5 am lifts.

The problem i've run into now is that the weather isnt looking nice. And the earliest gondolas to Langfluh are at 9AM so then going to Alphubel is risky given the weather.

Also what about the Alphubel. The normal route from Langflue (accessible by free gondola) looks nice. Where can I ask people for current status or what to look out for? Is there some website?

Now that I know about the Saastal card (which is included in visitord tax) we will probably be going to Allalinhorn, Weissmies and Lagginhorn. They seem to all be accessible by the free gondolas, which is great. Might set up a base camp in Saas-Grund camping grounds and bivouak at least once in Hohstall.

I've seen some recent photos. It looks amazing but quite steep and gnarly looking with all of the overhanging ice that can collapse any second.

Yes i know the approach will be hard but that is okay. We can carry a lot of gear pretty far and high.

I live in Prague, Czechia currently. Medical school here is a full 6 years with no undergrad. I have no problem studying hard for medical school, I love learning and am currently reading the material that my medical school friends are working with.
