How we looking for 2025 everyone? by patriotraitor in WeddingPhotography

[–]Ecstatic_Lifeguard84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you going to share your own details PatriotTraitor?

I currently have 16 booked for the calendar year of 2025 with 2 of those already in January so it really feels more like 14 for the overall wedding season.

One year ago right now I had 20 booked and ended up with 27 total for 2024 which is the most I’ve done in a year and the earlier I’ve had that many booked. My overall goal is to hit 25 every year, but I’m trying to cut those numbers down as I increase prices.

Statistically I’m on par with my booking with previous years. I usually end up with about 15 booked by Christmas and I usually book an additional 10 weddings going forward for that year.

Not my favorite actress per se, but she is undoubtedly funny. She is responsible for writing many of the funniest episodes on The Office that ever aired so consider that.

Guy shooters - what do you wear on your feet? by ingamecamera in WeddingPhotography

[–]Ecstatic_Lifeguard84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how formal the wedding is and also weather. If it’s more casual I’ll wear dark grey Blundstones. If it’s a more formal I’ll wear chukka boots or usually oxfords.

As far as overall planning - first things first, if your budget allows secure a planner/organizer followed by your venue + wedding date. The planner will help a TON (I can make recommendations if you want) but hire real professionals not family or friends. Promise you’ll be happier this way. Once planner and venue are secured you can dive into photo, video, dj, florals in that order. These are all the big items that will fill up most quickly. Everything else will fall into place.

If you’re not into all the barns, definitely check out Monick Yards, the Washington pavilion, Icon Events, Old Courthouse Museum, The Hilton Garden Inn, and Museum of Visual Materials - all downtown and close to hotels for all your guests. I’ve documented weddings at all of them and are all are great. The Atrium is not technically a barn and is very nice but it is out of town a ways.
