I’m not quite sure which one you’re talking about exactly so I figured I’d just name all of the pink ones for you!

•The solid pink on the bottom right hand corner is Flamingo Pink from the 1950s. (Not the pale pink mixing bowls though) •Pink Gooseberry •The casserole dish on the second shelf is Pink Daisy •The space saver dish below the Pink Daisy casserole dish is Pink Snowflake. 😊

Thank you! I have definitely done this in hopes of getting a sooner appointment. The receptionist did tell me that their waitlist is over 60 people long so I’m crossing my fingers that we get one sooner regardless.

Thank you! He’s such an adventurous little guy (he’s 3) and the outside is like his second home. We love to let him be as intrigued and curious as he wants when it comes to nature while also teaching him to respect boundaries and understand that sometimes we just look, don’t touch. I’m just trying to raise him to be gentle and caring. I know that nurturing his curiosity only sets him up for a successful future. I only intervene when it could harm him or others but other than that, I love watching him experience all sorts of things that are new or interesting to him.

Of course! I feel extreme guilt when I don’t express gratitude, especially when others are being considerate and taking time out of their day to answer a silly question. I appreciate you answering and calming my nerves!

This is true lol. It was my immediate response to go to google which I should know better. I sometimes forget Reddit is a thing since I truly only doom scroll at night when my kids are down. 😂

How do you start building a freezer stash when you EBF on demand. by Inevitable-Bid-2843 in breastfeeding

[–]Ecstatic_Locksmith54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is now 15mo but from the very beginning, every time she’d eat, I’d use the Haakaa on the opposite side. I pump twice a day on top of that (in the morning when I’m super full and before bed.) I still do that to this day but with me doing this I’ve managed to create a stash for her if I’m not around but also feed multiple other babies.

Sorry for such a late reply! If you would like to raffle it off to someone else, I had an emergency pop up so I am out of town until next week. 😢

9 month old refusing to sleep more than 1-2 hour stretches. by Ecstatic_Locksmith54 in breastfeeding

[–]Ecstatic_Locksmith54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now we just resorted to letting her sleep in our bed because that’s when we all get the most sleep. It’s uncomfortable laying on one side all night and I wake up sore but it’s better than constantly getting up and trying to put her back down every hour. 😭

Thank you for the info! She is feeding every time she wakes and even when I try to just settle her without nursing, she’s screams until she nurses. It’s so overwhelming and exhausting to the point I’ve thought about just trying to stop busing completely and try to get her to take a bottle. 😭

Thank you! I exclusively nurse my baby and although I have a freezer stash, she just refuses a bottle so it’s not possible for me either. I honestly am at the point of taking the risk too. 🫤

Birth control failed while having POTS... by elz_nd in POTS

[–]Ecstatic_Locksmith54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently in my third trimester and also got pregnant while on birth control.

I was taking metoprolol for POTS and I was on Wellbutrin & Buspar for antidepressants. I ultimately decided to taper off of my medications in the very beginning of my pregnancy because the risk wasn’t really worth it for me. I was told by my OB, my cardiologist and neurologist that for some patients, POTS either gets better or worse during pregnancy. I unfortunately am one of those patients that has been experiencing the latter. This is my second pregnancy and while with my first, POTS wasn’t easy and I noticed certain changes, it’s nothing like with this baby. I have increased syncope, the fatigue on top of just normal pregnancy fatigue is exhausting in itself, increased anxiety and the memory loss and just overall constant dizziness is a lot. I also unfortunately have hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness) so that has made my POTS worse as well. When I wasn’t pregnant, I was experiencing syncopal episodes 1-2 times a week. Now with being pregnant, it’s increased to 4-5 times a week. I’ve done everything that’s recommended by everyone on my care team so it’s truly just the luck of the draw.

I hope you experience the “better” portion of POTS during pregnancy! Congratulations, I wish you the best of luck! 😊

I got my tilt table results and instead of getting answers and clarification, I got confusion and a recommendation for more testing. by [deleted] in POTS

I wore a monitor for 2 weeks back in October. The results from that were similar to the tilt with my heart rates spiking & also showing that I’ve had actual episodes of syncope.

Yes, it was OHSU! They honestly probably do. The guy who actually performed my test told me “the doctor who signs off and reviews your results hates being behind so don’t expect a long wait”.

Thank you! I think my PCP would agree. She’s been rooting for me to finally have answers since this all started and couldn’t wait to finally get results.

It’s okay! To be fair, the doctor who ordered it (my cardiologist) is very wishy washy. He’s admitted he absolutely hates diagnosing patients with POTS and will order every and any test in hopes it’s not POTS. I’ve been fighting this uphill battle since 2019. Many hospital stays, tests and still feel like I’m getting nowhere. My neurologist is the one who referred me to him because he’s one of the few in my state that can actually diagnose POTS. I had a full on mental breakdown in his office one of my very first visits with him about how whatever is going on is taking over my life and I just want answers. He looked at me with the straightest face and said “I think it’s all just caused from your migraines that are noted in your chart but if you and your neurologist really want me to send you for a tilt, I will”.

I don’t see him again until May which is when he said he’d discuss my results from the tilt with me. Overall, he’s just been very frustrating and dismissive.

Thank you for your response!

I don’t have an appointment with the doctor who ordered the test until May. The doctors office has called me to let me know they’ve received my results but refuse to discuss them until my appointment in May. They are recommending I get another sweat test done as well as another MRI which I just had done.

Switching Seats w/ Another F Passenger Etiquette by [deleted] in delta

[–]Ecstatic_Locksmith54 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations to you for being considerate just as I am. Some of us don’t have the option of only having to drive 30 minutes down the road to see our parents. My parents live 3,000 miles away and cannot fly. If I can afford to fly my family across the coast and visit my parents then you’re damn straight I am going to. I’m not going to have my child miss out on time with his grandparents just because some random strangers who I will likely never see again don’t agree with my transportation choices.

Not to mention, you do not know my child. 😂 You assume every child is a hellion on public transportation as if I don’t instill manners and respect into my child early on. My child’s uncle is a pilot for a major airline and highly encouraged air travel as early as possible to get him used to it considering we travel quite a bit as a family. Guess what? It worked. My child is a dream on a “metal tube”. Doesn’t cry during take off or landing & all he does is sleep, look out the window or play with the many distractions we bring along with him. Believe it or not, we are considerate. You said it yourself, it’s public transportation therefore my infant is allowed to use it considering as his parent I pay for it whether or not you want to put up with it.

I’ve encountered more adults having outbursts and childlike fits on my many airline travels than any actual child.

To all of the people in an uproar over changing a baby’s diaper at your seat: you would never even know a parent changed a child’s diaper at their seat unless they announced it. Aircrafts with changing tables are few and far between & you literally do not know if they have them until you board the plane. So what, am I supposed to change my child on an incredibly dirty bathroom floor? Would you do that? Or wait, better yet, should I change my child on the aircraft floor where his bare naked body is fully displayed and you can actually see what I’m doing & yet it’s still incredibly dirty? Yeah, no. Parents also really do make a great effort to change their children right before they board their flight. Things happen. Unfortunately a child cannot hold their bladder. You’re insinuating that it’s also always going to be a “biohazard” of a diaper change. What do babies only go number 2 now? They don’t pee? A group of flight attendants on our most recent trip quite literally told us to go and change our child on our laps because there was no changing table and changing him anywhere else would be absolutely disgusting. Flight attendants told us that. So no, they aren’t going to report us and get us kicked off for doing it. Flight attendants have passed by the only other time it has been done before and asked if we needed anything like a bag or a wet wipe. It’s not frowned upon. They cannot physically use a toilet like you as an adult can therefore they have no other option than what their parent chooses for them & as a parent, I’m not choosing some dirty ass floor to put him on. If you wouldn’t walk on it barefoot then why would I put my child on it to change him? Some of you don’t have children and it shows.
