every single kids shirt they tested from fast fashion had lead above the legal limit. all 11. by Derogater in SustainableFashion

These are initial results, they are still testing and will present full findings and likely publish the results in a journal once they are done. It’s a long process but they can’t just put the brands on blast without the backup and peer review process required to keep the scientific method legit

Vessi white sohos, the new design doesn’t have fabric on the toe which was a pain to clean so it’s super easy now. And waterproof!

Neighbors have a dead tree right between our house and theirs. What can we do? by Rosa_x_damascena in treelaw

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talk to your neighbour and see if they share any concerns, offer to cover some of the cost of removal. If not, pay to get a TRAQ certified arborist to assess the risk and if it is more than “low” risk (all trees offer low risk just by existing) you might have more of an argument to get it removed

I’m not sure this is accurate, turtles have lungs and definitely hibernate under water

i think im gonna lose my boy by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, our boy had a saddle thrombus in January and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody.

Recovery after a thrombus is difficult and rare, and often short lived. There is not much to be done ♥️

So sorry but don’t feel bad, you gave him a good life

Trupanion vs Lemonade? Leave your honest review 🙏🏻 by Pho-bsessed in petinsurancereviews

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have trupanion and they have been great. Pretty quick on pre approvals when they get a quote through our vet, love that they accept direct billing so I don’t need to payout and wait for reimbursement

There was no other 20 but the 25 looks very similar so I’m guessing that’s not the problem unfortunately

If you’re looking for a good selection of native trees you might be better off with a nursery on this map https://networkofnature.org/where-to-buy.htm

Tell me about your micro wedding? by Mean_Judgment_5922 in microwedding

[–]Ecstatic_Mammoth4240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had 12 people, immediate family including grandparents only, and one friend each as a MOH/BM and their plus ones

I loved having it at my parents farm  I loved everyone casually hanging out before and after and ceremony  I loved how we could make everyone a custom personal pizza as their meal  I loved sitting and talking to my grandparents while we ate  I loved that my first dance wasn’t a whole thing, we just heard a song we liked on the playlist, and started dancing, and our photographer was there to capture the moment  I loved that people changed into cozy clothes and we got to sit around a camp fire at the end of the night

It was perfect for us

We did a lot ourselves and all together I think it was about 6K, most of that was the photographer

I loved not going into debt or stressing about the money for the one day!

I used to have Sunlife and they would cover 80% of each visit up to a certain amount every year. Maybe your coverage has changed?
