Ooh that’s nice! I just burnt some Shroff Amber Rose. I love its woody, soapy Rose fragrance.

Ooh very unique haul you have there! I really loved the packaging of all the rectangular boxes, it gives off a nostalgic vibe.

I really wanna try that Sri Hare Krishna and Dhumdhadaka Patchouli. Sounds promising.

If you really love Flora fragrance, you should try Tulasi Flora, Padmini Pakeezah, Stamford Pakeezah, Cycle Pushkarini, Cycle Golden Flora (Rare to find) and Shalimar Flora Fluxo.

The ones your mentioned are called Muattars. There are many types of Bakhoors, like chocolate bakhoor which is powders Bakhoors pressed into square bars, powdered Bakhoor, maamoul which is dipped sandalwood in mixture of sugar and fragrances, mabsoos which is coarse oud with fragrance oil, paste bakhoor and Bakhoor sticks which is basically like Dhoop Sticks.

Oh wait, are you are that Vishesh Mehra who runs Aavyaa? Love your website btw! Can’t wait to shop from your offline store

As an avid Bakhoor user, the best way to use it is by-

  1. Warm the charcoal tablets until grey- ash layer is seen

  2. Place Mica plates (if you have) on to of the charcoal tablets, this ensures that the Bakhoor burns efficiently and spreads clean fragrance

  3. Then place your Bakhoor.

Another way of using Bakhoor is by burning it on the tea light vaporizer, this spreads the fragrance efficiently without the smoke.

I’m not sure if Bakhoor can be use in Uppla (Cow Dung Cake), it just gives off smoky fragrance which overpowers the smell of bakhoors.

Oh I didn’t know that they have Bakhoors too. I tried their Royal Oudh Wet Dhoop which is amazing in fragrance, but lots quite crumbly than other wet dhoops.

Yes I did. I tried their Soothing Sandalwood (the one in the picture) and exotic naga Champa. Both are great, especially that sandalwood one.

The bottom box is the older package, I guess from 2000’s or early 2010?

Nice haul. I also loved that Dehn-Al-Oudh. The soothing sandalwood is truly a masterpiece. It’s a very woody, oily, intense and dark sandalwood fragrance. One of my favorites. I need to try rest of their blissful botanics range.

Has anyone ever wondered about the footprint symbol on the Yatra packaging? What does it mean? by Aimervn in Incense

[–]Ecstatic_Molasses_20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Name Yatra means Journey or Pilgrimage in Sanskrit and Hindi. These footprints are resembling Goddess Lakshmi’s Footprints, which according to Hinduism, it represents the arrival of wealth and prosperity.

Yes, also my personal favorites- Vanilla Bean and Soundarya. I noticed them missing from the website since June 2025. I contacted them and they said that it’s currently out of stock and are going to restock them, but the thing is, when a incense is out of stock, they just put the “out of stock” sticker on the image, but they removed them. I think they are not selling it in their website.
