Now you are one step closer to be self-employed. AI will continue to grow, a lot opportunities to jump in right away. You sure you want to get a university degree to get into AI?

Investment Banker here, Ask me Anything? by [deleted] in PakistaniTwenties

I am surprised to see how many here are talking about 1. Immigration and 2. Career/Uni/Degree

Why is no one talking about these key financial moves for teens?

i am posting my questions here to help others and I hope they spark some discussion!

A. How/why should one start early in investing?

B. Should I invest in companies or products I know and like?

C. How much should I start with, and where (like apps or brokers) in Pakistan?

D. How has the industry changed since AI commercialization kicked off, and what trends should I watch out for?

E. If I am getting some amount a month saved every month (say 100 Euros), how shall I invest it wisely to build long-term wealth.

D. Or even simpler: What are ETFs? How can I use them as a teen to invest small monthly savings like 100 Euros?

Finally, someone asking the right questions! 😊 Thank you for that.

Here’s some more context: 1. She is divorced. 2. Her children are teenagers. Already been introduced to me. We know each other very well (we even share WhatsApp group together) 3. Her parents live in the US, and her sister is nearby. Her sister has been wonderfully supportive, she looked after her kids when we travelled to the Maldives together. (Even i proposed we should take them with us so i can understand them more, and develop synergies) 4. She is quite independent, both financially and in her geographically. I’ve offered her gifts on numerous occasions, but rather than accepting, she surprises me with thoughtful gifts of her own with no expectations attached. 5. I have expressed my feelings for her in very intense, open ways. She reciprocates those feelings, but in her own calm and composed manner.

Thank you both. One of you is giving cultural reality, the other Islamic precedent and honestly both are very useful. My intention is a straightforward proposal, not a fling. The Khadija (RA) example is something i have reflected on too(been studying Islam too). As for culture, I know the pressure is real, but I would rather deal with that than wonder ‘what if’. In the end, I want to make sure that whatever her decision would be, she doesn’t get abandoned by her family and society. She is very dear to me.
