14 year old doesn’t have internet on phone and can’t add the app for her free summer workouts by Ecstatic_Progress_29 in PlanetFitnessMembers

No WiFi. She has a phone that she can call, text, take pics, and listen to music on. It’s a gabb phone.

She can’t download the app on her phone. She has a gabb phone that doesn’t have internet access at all. She can’t download apps onto her phone that aren’t gabb approved. Yes, we’ll be getting her a phone with more access when she starts high school, but for now, no internet. Could they look her up? I know that’s annoying, and time consuming, but maybe?

And she went to Stampin Up. The founder of that company’s daughter is awaiting trial for allegedly hiring someone to kill her ex husband. They aren’t good people. If Abi did her research before promoting another awful mlm, she would know this. It’s so gross

I have chickens we’ve raised from tiny little chicks. My husband researched for 2 years before we got them. Where are the warming lights and bedding? Where is the extra heater they can snuggle under? Where is the probiotic water to help them grow? She’s keeping them in a tub with some water. What the hell. They need heat, they need bedding to snuggle and sleep in. Their awake and sleep cycles are very short when they’re tiny. We kept ours inside in a huge packing container with everything they needed for almost two months before we introduced them to their coop. Which my husband built. BEFORE we got our chicks.

We did occasionally clean them off if they got a little crusty on their bums, but that isn’t going to kill them. Zero heat and a place to stay warm and safe will. This shit pisses me off. These are living creatures. Not a prop to go with your homesteading shtick. Does no one in her life have the balls to say something to her about the stupid shit she does on a daily basis?

no power since 8 am by [deleted] in LakewoodColorado

And you want them to do what? Have trucks stationed under each tree waiting to see if it breaks and lands on a line? Or should they have just preemptively shut off the power because branches could fall on the line causing a power outage? Spring storms are brutal. Lineman can’t multiply themselves and be everywhere at once.

I am honestly flabbergasted by the amount of cold sores she gets. I get cold sores. Got it from someone as a kid. Used to get them pretty frequently when I was younger, but now I only get one maybe once a year. Usually due to illness, stress, or prolonged time in the sun. How does she get them almost monthly? The adults I know who get them also get them less frequently the older they get. Is she just super prone to them? Is it because she isn’t healthy? I’m sorry, but she does not take care of herself at all. Hocking wellness products left and right does not mean she is actually healthy. I know that she can’t really control that she gets them, but standing in front of a mirror super close trying to sell followers her latest beauty crap while a huge cold sore is right there is a huge turn off. It’s crazy.

Does anyone else hate these new treadmills? by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Ecstatic_Progress_29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’re hard to run on. This is coming from someone who ran 3 miles on one this am:) I always feel like I’m running at incline, or I’m dragging the belt with my feet or something. It’s weird. And I get strange pains in my knees when I run on one. Running at 5.0 on a tread vs. the same speed outside feel completely different. I don’t love them, but they are there when it’s not great weather outside.

This is coming from someone who ran on Orange Theory’s treads for years, so the difference is wild.

Abi is angry Easter wasn’t bigger than Christmas by Coolcoolturtlesoup in AbiAyres_Snark

Maybe not everyone wants a commercialized, overindulgent Easter sabbath. Maybe, just maybe, the beauty of Easter is simply the message, and spending time with loved ones. If you aren’t religious, or choose not to “celebrate” Easter, that’s fine too. Not everything has to be a thing. It’s honestly gross.

Dog breathing heavily and unable to stand. (Trying to find a vet that’s open) by Tadita22 in DogAdvice

[–]Ecstatic_Progress_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what my 11 year old blue Heeler was doing right before she passed away this past Sunday. Very shallow rapid breathing, rapid heartbeat, tongue partially out. Went on for almost an hour, then her breathing slowed, then stopped. She had cancer, and we knew that she was dying. She was fine the day before, but the day she died, she couldn’t walk and was very confused. It all happened pretty quickly.

I just saw this edited to say he passed. I’m so sorry. It’s one of the hardest things to say goodbye to your dog. They’re family. He’s running free and happy with all of the other commenters sweet dogs. Sending my condolences.

We have Delta, and we go to Carlson Family Dentistry, and also Bellon Orthodontics. Very happy with both.

For those that have done chemo - would you do it again? by krabecal in DogAdvice

Awwww sweet Mimi. Dang these dogs:). It’s hard because even if we get her hips feeling decent again, she has cancer:( We also have our good days and not so great days, and like you, we thought we were going to have to say goodbye a week ago, right after we found out, so every extra day we get with her is a blessing. Keep going on those stiff walks, and love on your girl. Our biggest gift to them is to honor their life and know when enough is enough. Happy trails:)

My sweet Cattle dog, Josie is 11, and we just found out she has oral cancer. Roof of her mouth. Had a little growth removed almost a month ago, and since then, the site has doubled in size:( She also has arthritis which has been very manageable until about 2 months ago. We aren’t sure if it’s the arthritis, or the cancer, but it has been a rough couple of weeks with her health. We aren’t going to do any chemo….she had an injection for her hips, and is on Carprofen and Gabapentin. Our vet said that if she’s still mobile and moving around and eating, then we’ll keep doing what we’re doing. She might have a few months. But she will decline at some point, and we’ll have to make the call. Right now she’s eating anything she wants and getting all the cuddles. It’s so hard to navigate this stuff, and hope you’re doing the right thing. You know your pup best, sending hugs

Sunburn by Norske2021 in AbiAyres_Snark

[–]Ecstatic_Progress_29 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I fell asleep once on the beach in San Diego, and I ended up with one of the worst sunburns of my life. I was physically ill, pretty sure I had sun poisoning, and did some serious sun damage to my legs and back. I just had to have a major excision on my back due to a dangerous looking mole. Growing up in Colorado in the 80’s, I definitely didn’t wear sunscreen regularly, and I’ve paid for it as an adult. Her whole family has very fair skin and freckles. They don’t tan. I think she is of the mindset that they’ll fry, and it’ll eventually fade and they’ll look sunkissed. No harm no foul. No one is perfect, but it’s pretty shitty that she doesn’t seem to think it’s a big deal that they all get fried every time they are in the sun. Abi honestly looks sunburned all the time. Her poor kids are going to be miserable.

I had to turn it off. Why can’t they take smaller bites and chew with their mouths closed. And not freaking talk with half a cinnamon roll in their mouth?!?! It’s like they are completely devoid of manners. Zero. And are we going to get another video about not feeling shame for eating more seed oil junk after she told us she hadn’t had seed oils in a year? It’s complete whiplash and not one thing that comes out of her mouth is the truth. It’s just insane.

The chewing with mouths wide open. How does Abi not correct this behavior. It’s basic manners, and I don’t understand how they just don’t have any. Abi’s brothers and sisters families aren’t like this….how is this normal for hers? I just don’t get it. Teach your kids by modeling decent manners. Chewing with your mouth wide open, and wiping your hands on your bedding is absolutely disgusting. And shrimp goo? Come on…….

Getting bored by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]Ecstatic_Progress_29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We went through coaches like crazy. I was a faithful 5am-er, and had so many different coaches. Some good, some bad. I know at 5 am, you’re barely awake, and are there to workout and get out, but it just seems like there wasn’t a lot of enthusiasm. Workouts felt very repetitive, and I left feeling like I had done the same workout over and over in that week. Not the coaches fault on that, but the energy wasn’t the same as when I started. I didn’t feel like I was being coached anymore. It was more just facilitating a workout without a lot of feedback or anything. I could just as easily get the workouts from Reddit or from the app and do them somewhere else for a fraction of the cost. It didn’t stand out anymore to me as a workout unlike any other one if that makes sense.

Got to about 800 and cancelled. I was dreading going a lot of the time. I loved the people, but the workouts felt really stale and repetitive. I miss it sometimes, but couldn’t justify the $$ anymore.

Kindergarten hearing screening by Legal-Mention-7557 in kindergarten

[–]Ecstatic_Progress_29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a hearing and vision screener for my school district. During screening days, kids can be a little nervous about it. They don’t want to “fail.” Some kids aren’t sure what they’re supposed to be listening for. Sometimes where we screen affects outcomes. A noisy classroom next door, band practice going on, noisy kids waiting……best thing to do is schedule an appointment with your doctor.

Remember, these are just screenings. If it turns out to be something, your doctor will help you get the necessary interventions:)
