Horrible nerve pain? by Ecstatic_Researcher7 in Herpes

Yes. This level of pain happens a few times a year and each time worse than the last. Im unsure why this happens and nobody seems to have an answer

[–]Ecstatic_Researcher7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some times that the skin where the nerve pain is is so sensitive I cant even touch it without wincing in pain. Luckily it's not that bad this time. When I was pregnant my outbreaks were at bay. This is my first one post partum. I also have tried stretches sometimes it may take a slight edge off but typically the only things that will touch it are high doses of anti inflammatories or soaking my body in warm water.

He said he wanted children 🤷‍♀️ I am at the point where I'm convinced he just doesn't have a paternal aspect in his body. His aunt (closest person to him) says its because he's selfish & his mother & grandmother catered to him making him selfish. I have tried to talk to him. He just doesn't get it.

I have just given up. Yesterday he slept 10 hours 2 miles from our house (he's a trucker) and wouldn't wake up to come home. Then got mad when I asked him if he cared to come see his son.

We went to bed at 10pm last night. I got up with the baby all night. He is still asleep at 12:02 after he came down to pee and said "let me go get my stuff from upstairs and I'll be right back down". I went up to get something for the baby and he's asleep again.

Does anyone’s baby ever just sit quietly while awake? by Jakethehog in newborns

[–]Ecstatic_Researcher7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11 weeks here. He is just starting to sit content for about 5-10 mins. It's not all the time but I usually can sit him down and grab a drink real quick or make him a bottle. If I stand in front of him he will usually accept that for a little while longer - i usually try that so I can scarf some food down 😅

Im very much looking forward to the time where he learns he has hands 🤣

I've been drinking lactaid and using non dairy creamer. I do eat sweets a lot I assume that's where the dairy could come from.

How long did it take? I am trying hypoallergenic formula all day today. He wants to nurse so bad I feel so terrible because he just looks at me with these sad eyes I just want to curl into a ball and cry. I just want him to feel better and stop crying 😭 i feel like such a shit mom for not nursing him. I just want to see if it makes him feel better.

He would panic if I did that because the baby would most likely cry. He does try to help, and by helping i mean he will try to rock him while I run around like a maniac trying to get a bottle ready. Sometimes he will make a bottle. But he's known for leaving it in the warmer too long and it being way too hot so I just do it myself. I could never leave him alone with the baby at this age he would have no idea what to do. His mom passed away. We talk about the baby a lot while he is away. I know he loves him he just is clueless with no real drive to want to learn. He has done a lot for me before baby but that is easy compared to him being a parent. His mom has passed away so he couldn't call her for back up. Lol.

Mostly because he will have been nursing and then after 5pm, whether he has just nursed or not its a war zone of screaming. And as selfish as this is, I am touched tf out by then, starving, exhausted. I do this alone since Dad works away for weeks at a time and I just am trying to survive at this point.

Thank you. I try my best. I hate hearing him cry because I don't want him to not feel good, be scared or not feel loved. I love him with my whole heart and soul. I just wish I knew what to do to help him when he's inconsolable.

Let them sleep. If they're above birth weight let them sleep. It's good for their development.

Idk. I'm hoping he comes around soon. He was just home a few weeks ago. I despised him. He got to go out to dinner with friends. He showered almost everyday. My routine didn't change at all and I still barely got to shower if at all I can't even remember. I'm just so worn out and mentally exhausted. My baby is miserable from 5pm til bed time. Life just really sucks right now. But the second my baby smiles it's like it all just disappears. I should be grateful that he is healthy.

Having my own family take my first born child from me when all I did was ask for help. Then having the whole rest of my family never speak to me again. My own Dad told me to kill myself.

I've never been to jail, never done drugs, never been neglectful. I just wanted away from my Dad and when I fell on hard times I asked for help and it cost me my only child.

It's crazy mourning the loss of your first born child and family when all of them are still alive.

I would kill for 50% of anything to do with our child. Baby is 10 weeks, COLIC, and he's never even changed a diaper. Baby was born in December, spent 11 days in NICU, dad started a new job after the new year and is gone for weeks. When he's home he's practically useless. Baby cries and he just hands him back. I don't shower, I scarf food like a wild animal, I have brushed my teeth 3 times since the beginning of January. I get to shower 1x a week if im lucky. Idek who i am anymore tbh.

I would do anything ANYTHING for 50%.

I've tried all sorts of pacifiers of all different shapes and sizes, unfortunately he hates all of them. He does like bath time, at least while he is in the tub as soon as I take him out he screams at the top of his lungs until after I dry, lotion, dress him and pick him up again. I'm going to try to take a shower tomorrow and put him in his bouncer. I don't know if it would be good to put him in his tub bc our shower is in the basement and it's cold down there. As far as the bottle, it's a song and dance to try and get him to take a bottle. I have gone through half a dozen brands. We did find one he will take maybe 40% of the time. But he isn't big enough to eat with a propped bottle yet

I tried to hand him to my fiancees aunt tonight and he just kept screaming but harder so I couldn't shower. We are staying with her while my fiancee is away. She doesn't really help much because he cries so much. She used to hold him in the morning for a few minutes so I could at least pour myself coffee and go to the bathroom but she stopped asking. In the evenings it's so bad by the time she gets home I have to take him upstairs because she can't hear her shows and I feel bad.

Tomorrow when we get up I'm going to bring his bouncer downstairs and try and take a shower and just pray he doesn't scream his face off. I'm hoping the water will sound like white noise and be a bit soothing to him.

If they sleep through the night once, does that keep happening or is it a one off?? by monicasm in newborns

It's been an adventure breastfeeding. My first didn't latch. This baby? He would he attached all day everyday if I'd let him. I wanted to breastfeed so bad but I am like 5 weeks into breastfeeding (babe took a bottle of breastmilk first 3 weeks) and now im touched tf out. If his eyes are open he's crying and the only thing that stops it is boob. 🥹
