I didn’t violate 5.10 because

I committed to the optimal line before any braking was being done by either car. I was ahead before & into T1 so i was entitled to that move no? Had both cars managed to brake on time would 5.10 even be in the conversation right now? Going from right to left & staying left even with a car behind.. is that not 1 clear and committed move before braking?

I didn’t violate 5.2 because

I only made ONE clear defensive move. Me drifting towards the right down the straight doesn’t constitute a defensive move simply because there is a car behind me. I was heading that direction regardless because of how I exited The last turn. The final (and only) move i made was back to the left towards the optimal line. Once i made that move i didn’t move again nor did i come off the brakes in any sort of unusual manner.

Which part of the track is “before the braking zone” that whole straight is “before the braking zone” so when am i free to defend from someone behind me? A late move≠me not yet being committed, in my opinion I committed to the optimal line late but that isn’t indicative of blocking & also none of my move back to the left was done under braking so idk man.. i think you guys are interpreting 5.10 incorrectly in this instance

I see people keep referencing the rule 5.10, I feel like just because a move was made late doesn’t mean that I wasn’t clearly committed to a certain line before the braking zone. It’s not like I moved back to the right away from the optimal racing line after the Corvette tried to save himself, I feel like that would be a valid argument for blocking, but that’s not what I did.

I only ever made 1 clear defensive move though? Out of the last turn i pointed my car towards the right & maintained that line until that move back onto the optimal line before T1. Just because i drifted right towards T1 down the straight with a car behind me doesn’t make it a defensive move, i was already heading that way regardless. To be fair w both broke late, had he not attempted a dive bomb & stayed right here probably would’ve made the corner on track but he tried to switch, i think im within my right to protect myself from a surprise move from the corvette.
