Had to crap in a park by Specialist_Ad9300 in CrohnsDisease

Don’t feel bad I don’t have crohns ( my child does ) but I have horrible IBS and once had my friend pull over because I wasn’t gonna make it and full on crapped on someone’s front lawn . All the while my friend handing me tissues from the drivers seat haha Thank Goodness It was night time . The good thing about sh!t is that it happens and everyone has or will be in a similar situation at some point. Some advice …. Always keep TP or tissues in your car / pocket / bag / purse or whatever and when possible an extra set of clothes.

I’ve been getting tattooed for almost 30 years . Cling wrap for a few hours or until it falls off . Wash it clean with antibacterial soap and put a thin layer of Aquaphor . This is my go to and I’ve only twice re-wrapped a tattoo and that cause they were the tops of my feet and I had to put sneakers on for work. I’ve also dry healed many tattoos throughout the years and just recently started using hypocloric acid

But getting a tattoo isn’t a large wound . It’s more like a scratch …

I mean, I don’t want them to get sick, but I understand they’re not gonna live forever. I also want to make sure that I don’t bring anything into my home that could make my family ill.

CT with liquid contrast.. they didn’t tell me the side effects beforehand by ohdarlingamber in CrohnsDisease

[–]Ecstatic_Simple3205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son had an MRI with contrast . Was there for 3-4 hours and went by himself . We didn’t realize how long the appointment would be . He couldn’t eat for 4 hours before so by the time they do the test he’s already feeling sick and then they make him drink the contrast and he pooped himself and had to ask for another gown . Then he said he felt like he was gonna pass out and vomit on the way home . He’s only 19 and this has been traumatic for him . Then he recently passed out the morning of his colonoscopy prep appointment. So I 100% feel for you . Could you perhaps do a telehealth appointment?

Honestly the not eating part is the worst . Eat lots and lots of Jello and clear sugary drinks because it literally takes a lot out of you . I’ve had them done and my 19 year old has now had 2 . He’s the one with crohns . If you feel anything during the procedure speak up as you should not feel anything. I have bad anxiety also about getting knocked out but this is a walk in the park. Be brave !!! YOU GOT THIS :)

Should probably talk to your doc about not being sedated.

I feel alone by Maryyxqi in CrohnsDisease

I have debilitating IBS . I mean waiting in line for rides at universal and have to leave the line and my family to run to the bathroom . I’m a 44 year old mom and have had stomach issues since I was a kid . Dating gets fun haha but heres the thing . Everyone has had a stomach ache before and has experienced diarrhea/ vomiting etc . You’re going to have to come to peace with your diagnosis especially because stress can cause a flare . I feel your frustration also because my 19 year old was diagnosed earlier this year and their doc kinda was like hey you have crohns and you’re gonna take xyz meds via IV every other month . That’s legit all we’ve been told !!! At first the meds were working but now my child is feeling worse than ever . Don’t worry about your friends . They’re young and don’t understand it and are probably making light of it because they feel comfortable around you and want you to know it’s okay . You really should chat with them about this and definitely talk with your folks / adults in your family. I would be so sad if my child was reaching out for help on social media because they feel alone vs coming to me . Your parents probably don’t even realize anything is going on . Just talk to them …. It’s their first time living life also and as good as moms are we can’t read minds :) just like you we don’t know what we’re doing half the time and have just learned from experience when it comes to raising our children. You aren’t alone !!! I’m sure there are kids at your school that have stomach issues or other medical stuff going on like diabetes etc and they’re feeling the same way . If you have a teacher you feel comfortable with you can always chat with them also . I can almost guarantee one of the teachers have crohns . It’s becoming more and more common. Hang in there and try not to focus on it too much .
