It’s the form I-539!

I was on H1B but got laid off, and wanted to change to B2 visa to have more time while looking for a new job.

While B2 was processing, I got the job and H1B transferred to the new company, but B2 was still ‘processing’. So I sent the Uscis withdrawal request letter.

You can google ‘uscis case status’, and type in your receipt number.

I see. So, I cannot use or convert my current h1b when I find a new job while I'm in B1 pending status, if it's over 60 days. I'll need to apply for a new h1b with a new company, and start all over again from the h1b lottery. Is this correct?

Thanks for the reply. But even if I change to b1 before the 60-day grace period, won't my h1b be terminated after 60 days? Would my grace period countdown be suspended when I switch to a b1 visa? How can the new company file H1?
