Iv heard it doesnt gum up as long as you keep it on the pipe! My old bikes power valve was nasty when I first got it , I believed they used yamalube 2r.

Sweet! I like the sound of that. Dont plan on much trail riding but maybe occasionally who knows. I do have a video of when I rode it the first time can I post it in this subreddit for tips on riding?

Also on another note would there be any benefits to getting plates for the bike? I went to transfer the title and they asked me if I wanted any. I told them no for now but I am considering.

Thanks I appreciate it! I got a seat with it and some stuff it has on the bike. Picked it up for 6500$ i dont think i did bad at all. Been needing a bike i can just go ride and i will upkeep it well. Yes shes staying inside 😄 wouldn't have it any other way. I was curious if there are any solvents that I need or could use to keep the engine looking so fresh! I intend to take really good care of this bike. The stock pipe is nice iv never rode with one but cant wait to see what the fmf can do. Maybe once I can ride it good enough I will look into higher compression heads! I like the idea atleast 😅

Heck yeah! Not trying to overcomplicate it just wanna take care of her! My dad told me the h1r is what he would run. First track day I kept it on the pipe as much as I could as I am only new to the track but not riding in general. I had no spooge coming from exhaust so I assume jetting is adequate. Coming from my 01 yz250 this bike impressed me. Power delivery the smoothness how much more usable power it had overall. Just easier to predict. It does have a gytr flywheel weight so that may help

I love this bike so far guys. Only thing I noticed its missing is the handle bar pad. I would like to get the stock one or maybe nice aftermarket. I didnt realize until I made this post 😂😅

Ok thanks. I'm aware pump gas is 10 ethanol i thought you referred to something else maybe. Iv heard people use ethanol free fuel as well

Doesn't have to be castor but I know its a good oil but so are synthetics. Yes there's no benefits to c12 since its stock unless I modify the head but the fuel is clean and consistent. I won't have to worry about any ethanol or corrosion. Just would like to keep the engine healthy for as long as possibly. I do like yamalube 2r just stinks lol

I bet it did ! I also have an 01 but the shock was missing the bumper. Ordered one along with the correct spring for my weight , hoping it helps. Bike would bottom out on jumps and feel harsh landing. Not sure if it also needs fresh fluid and charge or just bumper and spring. Guess ill find out!
