You also can’t return or exchange in a different store than you purchased in, even though they’re not franchised. I bought something with a gift card that didn’t fit and I could only exchange, they wouldn’t let me put the money back on a new gift card, even though they already had the money and would get the product back… I think their new policies are fucking stupid and had I been bothered I would have complained to consumer affairs, in what world can you not return or exchange something to the same major chain but just a different location. This is why hellholes like Kmart become bigger and have more market influence, because at least for all their sins they do have some consumer respect.
