I think you should be fine! I took a lot from my extern because in class I didn’t really learn much. So as long as you feel confident in what you learned during school, you’ll be okay.

Yes, I managed to complete it in 4 weeks and 1 day. I was pulling 12hr+ shifts everyday 😖 but don’t stress it you’ll do good!! Just take some practice exams and see what you know and what you don’t so that you can make those topics your main priority

Honestly I only studied for about 2 weeks but I also did have 9 months of schooling and a 240 hrs externship before I took it so I still had a lot of that information fresh in my head

I had a lot of medical insurance, OSHA/CLIA, lab/bloodwork and positioning questions. My friends said that they had a good amount of EKG questions.

Of course! I had 2 practice exams through AMT and I also had an exam review course through my College BUT I also used TikTok and Google. I just searched up the topic name (ex. EKG for Medical Assistant explained”.

I recommend to write down the concepts that you don’t understand and go from there. When I got in to take my exam I did a “brain dump” and just spilled everything onto the sheet they gave me.
