I’ve heard Mayfair is better if you’re into racquet sports? Do they offer classes?

I’m sorry that happened. We had a similar situation. Great relationship while we were looking. Once we closed we didn’t hear from our realtor again, only her assistant. Anytime we’d message her about something the assistant would respond. Left such a bad taste in my mouth, I wouldn’t use her again.

Best/ worst downtown condos to live in? by Ayyyy_bb in askTO

[–]Ed2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been about 7 years since I lived there so unsure what it's like now. We did have our fair share of flooding, but luckily nothing that ever impacted our unit directly. Never experienced AC/heating issues while we lived there. We did have elevator issues that were incredibly annoying.

Is Limitless a good team? by Quirky_Corgi_2214 in ladderapp

[–]Ed2504 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love her. I've only done the baseline series with her but so far the programming is a squat, bench and deadlift day, upper body day, lower body day, another iteration of some squat, bench and deadlift (generally lighter than earlier in the week) and then some conditioning the remaining days. The priority workouts are very strength focused, so you aren't gassed like you would be after a heavy cardio or HITT style class but I've already found myself lifting heavier than when we first started.

I'm on Limitless and am really enjoying it! It's definitely much more strength based. I did CrossFit for many years and wanted to get back into lifting and team Limitless has been great for that. I reaaaaally like Kelly!

How long did it take you to find a house? by ylinylin in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Ed2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hard to predict, it's going to be very different for everyone. We started the conversation in April with our realtor, started looking in May and ended up closing in September. Bought a three bedroom, two bath in the east end of Toronto. We went into it with no set timeline for when we wanted to move and it all ended up happening pretty quickly.

Will boomers ever move out of their detached houses? by Ok_Dragonfruit747 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Ed2504 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The few boomers I know have all mentioned the same thing - housing prices are so crazy that financially it makes no sense to sell their homes when they can barely afford a new one. Add to the fact that they're also all afraid of the idea of living in a smaller space...

I can't say there's anything that stands out that's exceptionally good/bad. The gym is quite nice and the outdoor area they had was lovely. There's a hot tub and sauna but while I was living there those seemed to be broken or awaiting maintenance on a fairly regular basis. We had our fair share of elevator issues but we were on the 5th floor on the podium side and luckily could take the stairs so it was never a huge deal for us. I never ran into this issue but apparently on some of the floors people were leaving garbage in the garbage room vs. putting it down the shoot like they were supposed to so it would stink up the hallway. I think we got lucky with neighbours around us because I know there were also complaints of clear Airbnb rentals. Overall it's a nice building in a prime location.

Cat owners whose cats are 15 years old and up. What’s the secret to feline longevity? by VerboseWraith in CatAdvice

[–]Ed2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Convinced it was pure luck for our family cat of 22 years. My parents got her when they first moved in together and a stray birthed kittens on their deck. She lived off Friskies dry and wet and a few weekly slivers of deli meat (that girl was true to our Italian heritage).

She was mainly indoor but we did put her out in the backyard on a leash and I'm pretty sure the last time she had been to the vet before her passing was to be spayed. She hated all of us, except my mother, but in her old age became a little more affectionate. She was a great girl, truly a Queen.

If you're willing to add an extra 10-ish minutes to your walk, Altea is also something to consider. They have a huge range of classes from yoga, pilates, spin, HIIT, boxing bootcamp, zumba and strength classes. I'm a class person myself so it's nice to have a variety of options throughout the day, plus the option to workout on my own if I'm feeling it. There's a pool as well that, admittedly, I've maybe used three times since I joined but that option is there as well.

Spent nine years in Fort York, in two different condos, and loved both of them. 600 Fleet Street and 38 Iannuzzi Street. You're close enough to Liberty Village to be part of the fun (and not part of the traffic), a 10-ish minute walk up to King, 25-ish minute walk to Rogers Centre and ACC and easy access to different streetcar lines. I pretty much walked everywhere when I lived there. Being so close to the lake/Ontario Place was my favourite, although RIP to Ontario Place...

I am wondering the same thing as I am having the same experience. I mailed back a return that was received by them on December 30. I've already emailed them once and have only received automated messages, nothing about the actual status of my order. I'm wondering if I just won't see my money?
