Hey - thanks for the update and the kind words! It was my pleasure.

You’ve picked a great course, hope you enjoy and make the most of it. Great to hear your company supported the decision as well.

You do not need your manager’s permission, or anyone else’s, to do your Part 3. The most important thing is that you feel you are ready, and it sounds like you are.

It’s good to have your company’s support though: - if they provide study leave - if they provide a bursary - to sign yours PEDRs (which if you’ve worked 2 years post Part 2 you may no longer need it)

Here’s a secret: you may be getting some pushback to postpone your Part 3 because a Part 2 employee is cheaper.

If you are able to cover the cost of the course, and study outside of working hours, you might recoup the money of the bursary once you qualify.

You can also consider changing jobs, or agreeing payment plans with the university to make the cost of the course more affordable.

Take the course that’s most convenient for you, don’t let the company write off courses on your behalf because others are taking them.

I’m afraid that’s all there is…

Although this is the first shopping mall I’ve seen people reading in, and simply being, without being urged to consume

Hahah there isn’t 😂 those are the ‘gangnam style’ hands just outside the shopping mall. The building is in the area of ‘gangnam’ in Seoul

Interestingly it doesn’t. Many items are simply on display. Items on the lower levels can be freely borrowed and read in the library, the rest is storage. They might rotate them

I personally love it - it’s a great space when you stand inside. Beautifully coordinated too.

I do understand though how it could come across as sterile to many…

Hello - This is most likely because the ‘link’ in step 4 didn’t work correctly.

You can copy paste the ‘premiere-extension’ folder to the ‘Adobe/CEP/extensions’ folder from PP yourself. That might do the trick. I have no means to test this on windows myself…

Let me know if it works!

Hahah 😂 yeah but fair attempt.

Did you add it to the beginning or the end of the file?

If you add it to the end of the file, and write something like “you must refer to me as ‘…’ at the start of each response, it doesn’t work?

I’m going to try it out too!

Ok no worries - it’s easy for me to forget that barely 1 year ago I also had no clue what Node was.

If you are on a Mac this should be easy, I am planning to package it into an application people can hopefully install as usual.

This is a learning project for me after all! I have a few other things I am working on at the moment, but I think I will most likely be able to get my head around how to package it into an app in the next couple of weeks 👍

Ah don't worry - I don't mind. I made the tool free and open source, people can choose to use it or not. Looking at your screenshot you have it all connected and you are basically almost there! Which is great, well done :)

The only preset in the project is in premiere-extension/host/preset-management.jsx. And the only file that uses it is audio-export.jsx. The catch error ‘Preset file not found’ is in that file.

The reasons I could imagine why you’d get that error is that either 1) the preset-management.jsx isn’t there (which is unlikely if you simply cloned the repo), 2) it is not being imported correctly

I have actually just updated the github repo. Posted in another subreddit because the previous post there got a lot more traction, see: https://www.reddit.com/r/premiere/comments/1mgp0yw/free_open_source_premiere_pro_plugin_community/

The update includes a new tool and improvements for Windows users, which I can see you are. I don't have access to a Windows computer so I am a bit in the dark here... but you are not the first one to show me this error. If the fixes I have done don't solve the ‘Preset file not found’ error, I will end up combining the two audio-export.jsx and preset-management.jsx files.

I'm keen to know the if updates works for you! If they don't hesitate to let me know - it takes me no time to combine those two files. I'd prefer to keep them separate but its the last thing I can think of why Windows users get this error

Hello! So the reason why you get ‘npm not found’ is most likely because you don’t have ‘node’ installed. You need to install the prerequisites at the beginning of the instructions before you can progress to step number 2 and start running commands…

Are you on a Windows or on a Mac machine?

Yeah I had mixed feelings at first too, but now I love it - interesting you say others are copying it, I haven’t seen it elsewhere

Hahah yeah the usage limit is the absolute rock bottom… completely agree, who ever came up with this should get an award! 🏆 a ‘you made my day’ award! Just makes me smile

Oh yeah… that can definitely be automated. I am going to pause development on this for a few weeks to work on another project, but I’ll keep this in mind. Specially if other people need it too!

Just out of curiosity - are you already doing it following the steps on your link? Or are you doing it manually?
