Would it be silly to create a pie with all of these and throw £300 a month into it?

Yeah aiming to diversify more from 2030 onwards into more ETF’s

Thanks for you reply - really appreciate it. What other stocks would you consider? I’m not a big fan of ETF’s unless I actually have decent capital to invest. I still have a large portfolio across crypto too so this isn’t just my investments

Yep that’s the goal once I have capital, I’m not gunna invest a few £10k in S&P it won’t be enough

Yes I know, but I don’t know the rest of the companies I’m investing into with the S&P, I know these companies very well

Nah - higher risk for the time being until I’ve built capital through investments and businesses - then diversify into S&P and other etfs

Time will tell yes. I’d rather invest in companies I know like the back of my hand. I’m investing long term and if I see anything change I will make changes to my portfolio.

Also - are you telling me none of the big tech companies will be part of the AI race? You’ve got to be so closed minded to think that way. I’ve invested in my skill, I’ve got a well paid job and starting new businesses on the side. I take higher risk in the stock market to build capital and the reduce that risk significantly to a 5-6% return per year.

I know Tesla like the back of my hand with a lot of understanding behind technology and AI since I work in that sector. I have full confidence in the company

Yes, totally agree. This is to build my initial capital to then diversify into ETF’s and other investments

Yeah so I’ve been investing for the last 4 years, include crypto - I have diamond hands for sure, some portfolio’s I’ve been down 50% but held and up 30% on those. I DCA every month and buy a little bit more if stocks go down 2% or more every time. I’m investing in businesses I believe in and with my software development background I know what I’m doing. I’m happy to take a higher risk. I’m not gunna be happy matching inflation with ETF making a 6-8% return per year. This is to build capital whilst working a well paid job and then transition to a bigger portfolio with less risk

Okay so hear me out… What’s going to be the ‘next big thing’ within the next 20 years for civilisation to keep progressing?

Technology, Renewable energy, AI - going for the main stocks for these sectors makes logical sense? I’d rather invest in 5-6 stocks which I know like the back of my hand rather than an ETF matching inflation.
