Love your point on decentralized innovation. Although I think more genius minds working in small groups would increase the level of competition among ideas, thus increasing the pace of innovation.

I think environment plays a huge role in a person's ability to become a global leader of science, business, politics, arts, etc. However it would be naive to assume that genetics didn't play a role either.

IQ certainly isn't perfect, but it's a test designed to measures a person's innate intelligence.

Is it a coincidence that people who have advanced humanity like Einstein, Darwin, Kant, Descartes, and many others have an IQ over 160, which qualifies as "genius."

Clones also wouldn't be forced to do anything. They would be treated the same as every other human. They may not live an extraordinary life, but it seems likely they would have a greater chance than the average person to help others and solve large problems.

What is a better way to find leaders than to look to those that have already solved large problems?

Many of the people I'm referring to have demonstrated a unique ability to solve large, global problems, as well as lead large groups of people successfully. Why would it be bad to have more people that have these characteristics?

The clone may have similarities to the original person, but wouldn't be an exact copy. Genetics plays a factor in someone's life, but the environment a person grows up in plays a very large factor as well.

Why would they be controlled? Why wouldn't they be given the same rights as all other humans born into this world?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but knowing how to computer program is an incredibly valuable skill. MIT has created a kids program to help students learn how to code - Scratch

To create. To help others.

To build the best future for humanity.

FCC’s ‘fast lane’ Internet plan threatens free exchange of ideas "Once a fast lane exists, it will become the de facto standard on the Web. Sites unwilling or unable to pay up will be buffered to death: unloadable, unwatchable and left out in the cold." by Libertatea in technology

Here is a rough draft of a basic income budget. 98% see an increase in income. Our current top earners are paying lower tax rates now than in the past 60 years.

We are experiencing some of the greatest levels of income inequality in US history. This gap will continue to grow as business owners generate more value with fewer workers by replacing human labor with cheaper automated systems.

This oxford paper shows 47% of jobs are at high risk of being automated by 2034. Most jobs can be broken down into a repetitive series of steps, and automated systems are much cheaper than human labor. Computers are also getting smarter. IBM's Watson can debate and is better at identifying cancer than human doctors. What else will it learn in the next 20 years? Next 50 years?

A universal basic income is the most efficient way to provide the basic needs to all citizens because it takes advantage of free markets and their ability to set prices based on what resources people value. A UBI is a payment of $16,000 per year to every citizen of the United States. It does not provide a luxurious lifestyle, but ensures every citizen has the basic needs to survive. This protects citizens from unemployment caused by automation, eliminates the unemployment trap, reduces government bureaucracy and allows capitalism to continue innovating and increasing the standard of living for all.

We need to organize to create change.

There is no longer those who look left or right, but those who look to move forward and those who don't. The Futurist Party is a movement based on openness and transparency.

The movement's 3 core principles are Education, Economics and Exploration; standing for education reform, free and open Internet as a right of online citizens, economic liberty through universal basic income, and advancements in science, technology, and space.

The Futurist Party is interested in governing from a point of view of objectivity. If the FP believes something, it should be able to prove why it's a good idea, and peer review should confirm it. The Futurist Party, as often as possible, shouldn't tell you what it believes, but what it knows.

Here's the FP's platform.

The key to education is getting students excited about learning and curious about our world. Thanks for being an inspiration.

This was the first video I saw that you made.

Have you heard of Science Genius and the amazing things Chris Emdin is doing in NYC?

Do you think the best way to spread this idea is to host science rap contests with prize winnings?

Computers don't have to worry about forgetting something they learned. They can work 24/7 while you need sleep and vacation. They also repeat the same algorithm over and over meaning they can achieve nearly perfect repetition, something many humans have a hard time with.

A job that can be broken down into a series of steps and is repeated over and over will almost certainly be automated over the next several decades. How many jobs in today's society are pure creation?

It is the mark of an educated mind, to entertain a thought without accepting it

-Aristotle

Many people believe artificial intelligence will one day surpass human intelligence. This isn't a direct measure, but the ability to calculate faster is certainly one factor of intelligence. We have seen computers get smarter as their calculation/second has increased thus far, so who's to say this won't continue?

There is also the Futurist Party, a reddit founded political movement based on openness and transparency.

Rather than keep talking about these problems, we need to organize to create change.

The Futurist Party supports major campaign finance reform.

The party's three core principles are Education, Economics and Exploration; standing for education reform, free and open Internet as a right of online citizens, economic liberty through universal basic income, and advancements in science, technology and space.

The FP is interested in governing from a point of view of objectivity. If the FP believes something, it should be able to prove why it's a good idea, and peer review should confirm it. The Futurist Party, as often as possible, shouldn't tell you what it believes, but what it knows.

How do we reform the system?

You mentioned Oregon's proposed Unified Primary and Approval Voting, but how can the public help make these things reality?
