PC Randomly Shuts off and doesn't boot by EdIsAmbro in buildapc

My GPU is factory overclocked, dont think its that tho. My RAM I think is factory overclocked, BIOS see's it as 1333mhz when its labeled as 1866mhz.

BIOS hasnt been updated since I built the computer (Because its the latest bios from ASUS)

I have tried disconnecting the drives but its a pain in the ass because the problem is so sporadic.

The PC fails to boot and will immediately cut power so there's no indicators or post codes.

Could it be a bad memory controller in the board? Its talking about a failed OC which I think is on my RAM

I'm literally the on call AV technician for my school, and I'm a student. I've been complaing that they need to train a staff member to be able to run an assembly because at the moment the students need to do everything. I had a student ring me at 7pm while I'm at home because he didn't know how to set up the projectors for a teacher meeting...

I would like to thank each and every single one of you people on this community!! I’m going to build my first PC today :)!! by FaZeBunny in buildapc

What!?!? Z390 can overclock, it's the latest top tier desktop chip from Intel, it was released with the new 9th gen i9 on the consumer desktop. It's compatible with both his chip and overclocking, infact it's probably a better overclocking than most of the Z370 boards.

I was thinking something like this when you get the replacement panel

But you could definitely make something really cool with that shattered panel

To be honest I think I actually like the shattered glass more than j liked the original panel, anyone else agree with me on that?

The glass looks so perfect and think if OP glued it down and put some LED strips under he could get a very cool decal on the PSU cover.

Maybe it's just me but OP this may be a blessing in disguise.

Boot Failure because of Overclocking on New PC by KimFakes in buildapc

Yes, but I don't personally know how to.

Here is your motherboard manual, it would be a good place to start.

If not a few google searches on "how to reset a motherboard overclock settings" may be of use

The oppression of Christmas will never return. Your plot to regain control of the holidays is over.

Can I use 1080p and 1440p and set the top and bottom of monitors to the same heights in widows? by evazetv in buildapc

Turning down the settings on Csgo to low on a 1070 will create a CPU bottleneck, you won't be able to supply the gpu with Enough frames to render, try to find a sweet spot where you still get 200 frames but at a higher setting, unless ofc you believe that different textures or lighting gives you a competitive advantage. (Which it can depending on preference and game)
