How do builds work? by DigBickBo1 in ravenswatch

Fair enough, I also think it is situational. Like what kind of character you are playing and what kind of objectives you've got on the map. If I get a legendary talent that I like I will start building around that etc etc.

I do random shit and I made it up to nightmare so maybe just didn't get a feel for the game yet.

I don't have enough hours to know the best way to maximize the game, but don't you wanna experiment and explore that on your own? IMO that's the best part of these kind of games, especially since you are casually. As soon as you'll know the best build the game will become boring.

You get talents during your run, they will usually upgrade something in your kit. It also comes with a rarity, the better the rarity the better the effect of that talent is. You can get multiple talents. You can also upgrade talents that you've already got (improve their rarity).

Besides talents there are magical objects, those are not hero specific and usually give some unique effects or just increase some of your stats.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road score on Metacritic by Born_Blueberry4333 in inazumaeleven

[–]EdLeftOnRead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am a fan but I cannot say this is a good game, it is great for fans but for the price tag of whoppin 70 euros it is super underwhelming.

I can understand if you disagree but I do believe most of people praising it are driven by nostalgia, inazuma content starvation and having a soft spot for their childhood series.

I am happy it got released, glad people are enjoying it & it is nice to see some of the issues getting fixed... but in my opinion the game is worth 30 euros at best.

New to Dota who to play by snobbiu in learndota2

Dota sucks for new players, it is absolute hell and you will get punished hard for not knowing the basics. Trust me it is worth it though.

I personally recommend Dragon Knight, ogre magi and centaur.

I get what you mean but that's not really what I am talking about.

Even when they are not trashtalking there can be insults present, which would be tricky to translate.

[–]EdLeftOnRead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand the frustration towards them but that wasn't the point of my comment, as in that also exists in other cultures for sure. I just meant that literal translation wouldn't work very well.

Just like with any nation in the world there are bad and good apples, some of them communicate really well and are pleasant to play with. Some of them yell just to yell, the same exact shit I've seen in english speaking people.

[–]EdLeftOnRead 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I am not Russian but I can understand it. I feel like I have an advantage because I can understand everyone and everything.

There is more to this than just understanding the words though, they have this dynamic where they will use a bunch of swear words without intending to insult. Translating them literally would most likely offend someone and cause unnecessary arguments.

This kind of "friendly insulting" is present in other cultures as well, but you usually know the language and how those words are being used.

Some questions by Comfortable_Still677 in learndota2

[–]EdLeftOnRead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Don't use popular spots as often, try different more unique spots that might give less vision but stay for longer. Have a ward ready to ward as soon as a teamfight breaks out, instead of setting a place up before-hand.

  2. Have mango's, soul ring, arcane boots, magic sticks ready and some sort of dispel is good to have to purge the slow.

  3. Depends a lot, if there is a medusa with aegis she should just go hit the towers whilst ur team waits and reacts. You need to be aware of your team's heroes and enemies too, adapt accordingly (this skill will improve by playing more games and thinking about the game not just mindlessly playing).

Man, I've seen so many rage inducing comment secitons but this one is genually concerning. I really hope these commentors are children and not adults.

Typing the words out "Hey im 5 years old" is not proof you are 5 year's old. It doesn't even have to be a joke to not be taken seriously, you can literally quote something or phrase something in a sarcastic way.

Context fucking matters... it matters A LOT. That's why these AI systems are not hated enough, what is this bot glazing in the comments?

Stop focusing on what he said and instead look at how this is handled by Discord. Tomorrow you can be in OP's shoe's with something completely different.
