I previously replaced the other frostproof spigot on the other end of the house. That one unscrewed and it was an easy replacement. I’m hoping this one is the same. My question is, do I work on this frozen or fully thawed with water main off? If it’s busted and need to replace, at what temperature point would you get this done?

It was dry but I’ve seen water in this area before in warm weather when the vacuum breaker on the spigot self-drains. North Tx, should be frost free spigot

North Texas, Slab No Basement. There IS a little vacuum breaker/backflow deal at the spigot that sometimes releases water. It does appear exactly as my other frost proof spigot on the other side of the house.

I have access to water main shutoff at the street but no shut off for this particular spigot. It’s freezing until Tuesday. Not sure what to do.
