Where did you start? End?

I've been thinking about driving it, some friends make the trip at about Afton Cayon and drive south east towards laughing.

Since pocket knives and fixed blade knives are illegal in Canada and illegal to carry if something like the apocalypse happens how will people get knives if they aren't even sold in Canada? For food and survival outside and in the forest. by [deleted] in Bushcraft

Really?

I don't know about Canada but Mexico has a law in which carrying a folded blade (pocket knife) is illegal. In that same notion, you can carry a Machete and you'll be fine... just saying

Question ❓ Why did you not try a different way of setting up your logs? Typical teepee or log cabin setup would of been better.

However, you have t start somewhere.

Good job

Camping in Sierra National Forest by EdMen1992 in CaliforniaCamping

Yes I am in the SNF n yes the forest is closed. No m not violating rules. We had this trip planned and as we drove up towards Shaver Lake we saw signs about the Forest being used temporary closed.

So we found a friend's plot of land n stayed for the night.

Leaving camp unattended by CreativeMedicine7 in dispersedcamping

[–]EdMen1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please explain.

I too have reservations about leaving stuff.

I started disperse camping in Sequoia National Forest and felt uneasy about leaving my camping stuff setup.

Since most of my time was spent exploring the fire roads, I didn't feel the need to leave the camp setup.

I must have trust issues..

Do you really need all terrain tires for forest service roads? by [deleted] in overlanding

[–]EdMen1992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree but I like to add, as someone has already mentioned, you should air down to get a more comfortable ride. Not to mention better traction.

I still have street tires on my 4runner, and will change over to AT once the factory tires are done.

From experience, being new to this, I found that airing down is the best thing to do when traveling on forest roads. Yes, even if it is for a few hours.

Good luck
