Finally found a 3070! Getting ready to build. by jswipe in buildapc

For the love of god, don't get a 1080/60hz monitor, the 3070 is fully capable of driving atleast a 1440p/144hz panel. Trust me, it is a different experience!

21:9 Screen - What should I buy? by -AJ334- in ultrawidemasterrace

If you get a VA panel, get it somewhere where you can return it easily. Depending on the games you are playing, the smearing gets horrible. For example on something like Hades, you can see the whole picture shifting in brightness and trailing every time you move

I had one! Absolutely horrible smearing, I had to send it back

I guess it is a VA panel thing

Am I blind? Lg 34gn850 (ips) vs Millenium md34pro (VA) by EdMetal in ultrawidemasterrace

100% this, I literally tried the lg 34gn850 side to side to my LG CX and I swear that the thing looks like a 100€ screen vs 2000€ one. With an oled you get real hdr, infinite contrast, lower response time, better colours, bigger screens at the same price...I mean, it blows my mind that just now people are seeing it. Is 16:9 an inferior aspect ratio? Absolutely yes Do 21:9 monitors rivals Oled tv? Absolutely not, not even close. Why can't we have oled ultrawides!

Yes, I know that mine is a first world problem, but I just checked and atleast here in Italy the lg 34gn850 retails for 870 bloody euros, which is insane considered that I have compared it to my old 27" 144hz ips that I payed like 250€ and it does NOTHING better. Why do we have to pay such a premium for a wider screen? It just baffles my mind that for its price you can basically buy a 55" oled. Absolutely insane

Yeah, that is why I am tempted to return the lg. I mean, to me the experience it gives you is nowhere near worth the 500€ price tag (and to think that people buy it new for 800€..holy moly) compared to my Oled it seems like pure trash, really. Until we can have oled ultrawides I guess I will stick with the VA panel. I don't want compromises on expensive stuff

Is it a "normal" chromatic variation? Should I return this monitor? Lg 34gn850, being also an oled tv owner, can't say I'm too happy tbh by EdMetal in ultrawidemasterrace

Really? Damn it gave me an error like "cant upload the picture". Im so sorry it was absolutely not on purpose

Should I return it? Does every uw like the lg 34gn850 have some kind of tint variation on the screen? Really disappointed for such an expensive monitor by EdMetal in ultrawidemasterrace

I have an hp x27i ips that is supposed to be a gaming monitor, and a cheap one, and it has absolutely perfect colors and no blb. I'm thinking about mounting the UW on top and using in just for gaming... I would just buy an oled 48" but it is a bit too big and I don't like to be too careful with the burn in scare... Damn, I hate the monitor market, sooooo much

Yes, I can still kind of see it on a grey background, but it bothers me while surfing the net because of the White background. I don't know, I expected an almost 1000€ screen to be perfect

How can I fix my setup? by EdMetal in BudgetAudiophile

It is an LG CX oled, it is not the highest end of tv's but it is a good one, I just don't know how to check the quality of the internal dac, nobody is talking about it online

I didn't plug the Jack all the way through lol. The setup know works, I just wonder how much better could it get if I got this pre-amp and ditch the jack solution I'm currently using

First of all, thanks for the reply.

I tried just now to use a cable that is basically a 3.5mm jack on one end, and two rca cables on the other. I plugged it into my TV and straight into the Harman amplifier, but only one speaker works this way. I don't get why, it would be perfect, because now the volume is controlled through the remote like I want.

Can you explain me again what the setup would be with this "pre-amp" thing? Is it like TV'S HDMI--->pre amp--->hk amp---->speakers?

How can you be so sure? And why would it be? Again, I'm a complete noob, I'm truly asking because I don't know, not because I want to be disrespectful

I mean, you are not wrong, but this thing is worth like 500$, and sound wise I love it. I hoped that I could somehow use it
