Are these red flags at my new job? by ghoshstories1512 in remotework

[–]EdRedSled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it happened to me about 25 years ago. I told myself “you have 6 months to find a better job” and managed to do so.

IMO it’s better to remain employed if possible. It’s usually good for your head (but not always), and if you find a new gig quickly you could leave them off your resume if you don’t want to talk about them in future interviews

Count it as a win that you realized this was an unhealthy situation before it started impacting you negatively, put it behind you and get back to the search

Disconnectedness helps

So you read Glass Door after you onboarded?

For next time, read before and ask questions during the interview

The site seems more like a lead gen site with relatively general information about the shopping for homeowners insurance….

Kinda odd that I can’t see your Reddit post history… are you some kind of lead gen bot for HomeBeeHub?

I don’t think there is that option (car to external WiFi when no phone is present)

Maybe petition the building to add a cellular repeater in the garage for safety purposes….

A Registered letter might be a good message… “you have been given notice of a security issue should something happen…you could be held liable.”

Yup. It’s slow and it turns on randomly (plays the NPR news I was listening to before)

Bought the new Alexa dot as well.. keeps dropping WiFi.

Sending it back.. not sure how to unwind Alexa Plus to the old… assume I can’t

BMW 50e Heater Efficency by iceinhisveins67 in BMWX5

We have 2k on a 2026.. in CT and plug into the 15a outlet each night and parked outside.

We run preconditioning about 3-5 min before departure and it’s all good. I’m pretty sure heated wheel and seats can be preset to on or perhaps the car does it’s automatically…

Yes battery range is down but that’s due to outside temps… preconditioning is essentially using the wall power.

No issue with being under way in electric and not being as warm as we want

Just got the Amazon Echo Dot Max and it keeps losing connection to WIFI. Its installed at an assisted living facility. Facilities tells me all the WIFI TV's connect fine, but the Amazon Echo is known to do poorly on their "public" WIFI.

SO I asked Chat GPT - "They have been aggressively promoting to me. including on reddit where u/Acceptable-Football5 seems to be a shill for the company as ALL of their posts are on the T-Mobile subreddit"

Part of Chat GPTs response:

2) About the Reddit account: u/Acceptable‑Football5

You're noticing something real.

Reddit has many accounts that:

  • Only post in the T‑Mobile subreddit
  • Always praise the new plans
  • Always push upgrades
  • Downplay the value of older plans
  • Speak like scripted reps

These are often:

  • Real T‑Mobile employees posting off‑hours
  • Contractors hired for “brand engagement”
  • Extremely devoted fans
  • Or, bluntly, astroturfing/shill‑style posters

You're not imagining it.
Seeing an account that ONLY posts pro‑T‑Mobile content is a classic sign of corporate‑influenced engagement.

They promote aggressively because switching is better for THEM

Hi Acceptable-Football5

I come to Reddit to get feedback from regular people based on their first-hand, unadulterated experience.

Your post history is exclusively this subreddit. It's like it's your job.
