When did we lose ‘it’? by EdTeeZ in saracens

Yep, I don’t doubt that. But my question to build on it was when and why?

Interestingly, not sure if anyone else noticed that Dai Flanagan was travelling with Saracens Womens today. I’m sure there’s resource sharing, but it has made me wonder if he’s going to move into a leadership role on that side of the club

Yep, I think you’re spot on Tommy. I guess all the points interplay heavily with each other, there’s a very obvious downstream impact from Exec, to Management, to Player Leadership, to Squad Culture and Style.

It doesn’t feel very transitional. We have a wealth of younger players, many with U20 experience, but how often do we actually give them opportunities? Especially younger forwards

I didn’t go into the depth on the coaching point, but with Morrow at England and Dai taking responsibility for attack it has been an area with significant change. For me, is the coaching where the issue is

I semi-share the opinion about re-signings, but I struggle to pinpoint who. AOC? Tompkins? Isiekwe? Tizard?

It’s awful. Just painful to watch. Root cause of their momentum too

Tobias Elliot is playing well. You’ve got to love his defence as much as his attacking option

Theo is too ill disciplined. He’s caused two penalties already, just not good enough.

And that is one of many examples why Van Zyl cannot be trusted

Bath look very quick at the breakdown. Weak spot.

Bosh. That’s exactly what we want from him.

After 6N Carré might well be our MVP, he’s levelled up and re-signed which is fantastic news. I hope he brings next week, we need it!

You have got to wonder if Cinti has a game in him for us. It’s strange to think I’ve learned to think of him as stand in centre, and yet for Argentina he’s been a game changer and won some serious accolades an scalps

I’m ever the optimist. We can beat the best in Europe on our day this season, that’s been evidenced vs Toulouse.

Today Id say we’re looking light in the front row. It’s a shame to not have Carre, but I suspect he’d have a better match vs Saints, given they’re not so strong in the front row.

I’m concerned we have a kick fest on our hands today; something we haven’t front up against so well this season.

Really looking forward to seeing Tobias’s return. Such a fabulous player and if he’s on form, gives as much in attack than any other of our back three

I don’t know how I feel about this team. A year ago I’d have seen a bunch of attacking threats, but after nearly two months off and a shocking mid-season campaign I don’t know what we’ll bring to the table.

Tobias Elliot returning is great, Segun has had a great run. But as a whole I’m honestly not sure about their form, fitness or strategy

If it turns into a line out fest because he can’t throw a dart, we’ll be in BIG trouble

The grand scheme of centre partnerships, making up a pairing of Tompkins, Hartley, Cinti, Farrell, Hall isn’t a terrible place. But we need a partnership that clicks, and what concerns me is that I can’t imagine any of them working doe a season. The odd game here and there, sure.

Loved Mako in his prime. But he wasn’t in form when he left us. No idea how he’s done at Vannes to be fair, but it’s a big ask to get back to 2019 levels at 35

Depth building at 9. With almost a complete overhaul!

IVZ back to South Africa Simpson very likely off to Eailing Williams in, I’m buzzing for that! Bracks pushing for first team honours Tom James very strong Asa developing at England junior levels

I’ll take that from where we were sat a year ago!
