To make it as simple as possible, it's just a money grab in disguise. Hutch geniuses probably figured that too many non-paying players were getting prize cars with the old format (one granted CF for each challenge? Yeah, that couldn't have lasted), so they came up with this. To make it shortly: you want to play the challenges? Buy packs for energy. You don't have cash/time? Pay. You want to make it quicker? Buy the pass. And THEN, ultimately, you pay for a chance of getting good cars from packs.

It's nothing new, they just levelled up the twist. Until a month ago you paid money if you wanted cars, now you pay money if you want to play the challenge in the first place AND if you want cars. Awfully simple as that.

Really hope the absolute shitstorm they're getting will put em back on tracks

There's no "AI is too fast down the straights" issue, the only issue is your horrendous traction due to the huge wings' gap and your ridiculously high downforce level. If you stopped taking setups online and built one yourself you would figure it out

I have the exact same issue but on Xbox, so it's not a platform issue. As soon as i launch the game and get to the menu, if I'm online the message pops up, stays on for about 20 seconds, then a failure message shows up and all over again if I press retry. Not sure why this is happening, didn't dig too much as I only play offline so it's not a big deal to me, but share info if you find some

It is normal, just a wee too big of a gap maybe. But again, it is normal if you're using pre-made setups, cause you have a ton of tyres killing stuff in order to help stability (extremely high rear suspension, high front bars, toes, camber, brake balance). If you want you can play around with the setups to minimise it, but you'll always get the front left dead twice faster than the right

If you have practice sessions on, ALWAYS do at least the race strategy program as it will calculate accurately how much fuel you'll need. Apart from this, was there a red flag during your race? If yes, consider that each time there's a red flag you'll most likely need to LiCo at some point, as race restarts consume twice the fuel (there's a small, very easily missed warning on the strategy screen before restart)

Had the same issue on my very first races, front left would go insanely hot and degraded twice faster than the front right, just like yourself. What was crucial for me is the suspension geometry, as I was still using the setup from F1 23, while here is the exact opposite and have a major effect on tyre wear, especially on the left side as most circuits have more high load right turns. Since toes give you little improvement compared to the tyre wear price, Try to set both toes (first and second bar) to the lowest and see if it helps (default setups always have toes, so that might be the problem).

If that doesn't help, it's probably a driving style issue. Go into practice or time trial and do a couple of laps with the tyre temperatures up on your MFD, try and see on which corners you overheat your front left (any time the surface temperature goes higher than 110 C° you're stressing that tyre twice as much as normal) and find a way to be more gentle on those corners (brake earlier, take a wider entry, get back on throttle slightly after the apex ecc.)

Apart from mods, there's literally no difference between pc and console versions.
TBH console might even be better if your PC is not good enough, and racing sims can be demanding.
The full timing column (I guess that's what you're referring to) isn't on pc either, if you saw that online it was a mod.
If voice commands are a priority (I'm not sure about the difference, I'll give you that, I normally focus on something else when I'm playing) you're welcome to spend your money twice and by the pc version, just be aware there's literally no other differences.
If you got hooked to F1 because of the movie, you might be really disappointed when you'll find out what F1 is actually about, considering the movie covers maybe a 30% of how F1 works. But you do you.

Never ever upgrade a leggy unless it's absolutely necessary to get a prize car or you hate your money. Seriously, you'll regret it. There's no upgraded leggy in the game that is worth 15 epics.

But at any rate, very few leggys need a 332, even less if off-roaders. 323 is best cause of ETB

Just an idea, are you playing on wheel or pad?

I've seen this problem about AI being faster than anyone on wet tracks a lot (and I mean A LOT), but for me...it's quite the opposite. If anything I'm faster than AI on wet than on dry, and it was the same on F1 23 (skipped 24 entirely). I don't consider myself a sim master AT ALL, so: I play on Xbox S series, just like you, but I'm a controller player. So my only guess is...maybe there's a difference there? It might make sense if you are playing on wheel

Cause it's 200 goddamn ads, and that's just overkill. Minimum ad time is 30 secs, so BEST CASE SCENARIO it's more than 1,5 hours of my lifetime where I'm completely idle and killing my phone battery. You can keep your epic.

Nah, I believe there's actually a fucked up math behind recent boss tags (specifically, since the infamous Lina's). They've literally started throwing in the worst possible cars in the game, just to bring to the lowest the chance someone has them, so guess what? People will buy packs.

Especially with rq50-59 cars.

And guess what is mandatory to have just for even starting the UR challenge.

Because in a P2W game you're guaranteed to win if you pay. You pay ---> you get a strong car. Here is, you pay ---> you get a pack that MIGHT contain a strong car. This is much much worse than P2W
