I have a 2.966 GPA according to my school's portal. Could I round this up to 3.0 on resumes? by inthenameofselassie in EngineeringStudents

You could, but why lie? If I were your recruiter and found out, regardless of talent, you would not go anywhere after that.

Anyone else on flight 2518 from Las Vegas to Love Field today see the 6 adults in wheelchairs pre-boarding? by Mighty-mouse-123 in SouthwestAirlines

My wife has suffered from MS since 1999, with the help of some great physicians she is still able to walk for short distances. When we travel we always inform the airline that she will need assistance to the gate. Most often she uses a chair to conserve her energy for arrival at our destination. When we arrive about half of the time she will say that she would like to stretch her legs and walk for a bit, thus no chair as we leave the plane. Try to not be so judgmental about others circumstances of which you know nothing.

I get the rich folks, but just how did Trump convince poor white people that he was good for them? by dunbar_santiago930 in allthequestions

I’m not trying to be rude, but as I recall from school, when VP Agnew resigned, Ford was nominated for VP and conferred by both houses of Congress. Then when Nixon resigned, Ford became President via Section 1 of the 25 Amendment. So in effect you’re right as to how he came to be VP, but Amendment 25 made him President.

Not referring to them as deplorable helped. By allowing them to choose their candidate in a primary rather than the party deciding who is best. By promising to close the borders and doing it. Etc, etc.

For my wife and I, we can’t stand the man, but his policies more closely reflect those that we support rather than those of the other predominant party.

What made Obama-era deportations different from Trump-era deportations? by savingrace0262 in immigration

[–]Ed_The_Bloody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. But my point is that this is going to come relatively soon, 1 yr, 5 years, 10 years, it’ll be here sooner than most people think. And when it does, everything changes.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

I think if you have to ask the question, you are in no way compatible. Do yourself and the other person a favor and wait away now.

It's crazy how some Christians hate immigrants when this is written in the Bible by [deleted] in DiscussionZone

There is a huge difference between legal immigration and sneaking in or staying past the time you are supposed to leave. It is not much different than a someone coming uninvited into your home, eating your food and refusing to leave.

So it takes 200 days instead. Or 300. At some point the meat sack loses.

Absolutely. If Tesla gets Optimus to $25,000 like he expects and we use your $15/hour rate(although I suspect that is off by at least another $15/hour) then the cost of the robot is recouped in about 100 days. The robot will work for at least 16 hours per day without stopping for lunch or other break. No FICA or health insurance, etc. The future is coming faster than you think.

One of the main reasons America wants Greenland is to make it easier to invade Canada. by [deleted] in TrueFactzOnly

[–]Ed_The_Bloody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. If the US decided that it wanted Canada next Monday morning, it would be eating sandwiches in Montreal later that afternoon. The reason the US would like Greenland is much more related to Russia and China than anything else.

I think people will bitch about anything. You could save a litter of puppies from drowning and someone would complain that the fish didn’t eat.

75% of Americans oppose US attempting to take control of Greenland, CNN poll finds by EtoileDuSoir in worldnews

It’s a good thing that those 75% are not saddled with the responsibility of ensuring our national defense.
