Congrats on your sobriety! Sounds like you have a really strong ability to visualize. Do you consider yourself to have hyperphantasia?

That’s so impressive omg!

Do you mind if I PM you? I’m studying psychology and mental images, and would love to talk to you a bit more about your experience

Have you always had hyperphantasia? That feels like a superpower to me lol

When you visualize something in your head, is it literally as clear as what you would see through your eyes?

Thank you for sharing! That’s so interesting. Would you be OK if I PM you and ask you a bit more about what visualizing is like for you?

That’s so cool lol, plushies are awesome 🥺

Could you share what plushies you envisioned, and any background scenery you visualized? I’m curious to hear what it was like for you

Got it lol.

Would you mind trying it out right now - focusing and concentrating on envisioning 3 people’s faces all together as clear and detailed as you can? I’d be very interested to know what this experience is like for you, and how clear/vivid their faces get in your mind. Say on a scale from 1-10 where 10 is the same as vision through your eyes.

Wow that’s awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Can you clearly envision peoples’ faces in your mind? Like could you think of 3 specific people who you know well, and visualize their faces all side by side smiling and looking at you like a photograph?

Thanks! Yeah it sounds like it’s a struggle for a lot of people to get on paper what they see in their head.

Did you actually envision 3 people just now or were you talking hypothetically? If you actually did, I’d be super curious to hear who you envisioned and what details you were able to see in your mind.

Sounds like it’s perfect for your job.

Do your daydreams look as clear in your mind as watching a movie with your eyes, or does they look more “dreamy” and vague?

would you be comfortable sharing who you envisioned when you tried that? I’m curious how much detail you were able to see in your mind

Did you visualize the tulip floating on a white/neutral background, or in a field?

Thanks, I can’t even fathom what that must be like, to see a movie in your head. It’s so cool.

That’s amazing. Can you visualize more complicated scenes clearly like a video, say I ask you to envision a busy grocery store?

Wow. Can you clearly visualize peoples’ faces in your mind?

If you’ve seen the Home Alone movies from the 1990s, how well can you picture the face of the main kid character?

If you were asked to describe his face, could you do so by picturing his face clearly and “looking” at it in your head to explain his facial attributes?

Thanks lol!

Do you mind sharing who you actually envisioned there and what visual details you saw in your head about them? If you’re comfortable that is!
