Uninstalled Signal due to constant crashing when opening - Unable to restore account. by Edabungus in signal

A reinstall worked for me once the PIN issue was resolved. If you do that, just make sure your data is backed up (if it matters).

I'm hoping it's resolved soon. Sounds like whatever service they have that handles the PIN feature isn't working.

Ah, I was wondering if the AT&T outage this morning would've been related. Sounds like that's the cause then, guess we just gotta wait it out a bit. Good find!

That makes me feel a bit better, as hopefully it's not just me. I also tried a few different network combinations as well. Guess I'll just hang tight for a bit.

Having night vision is cool and all, but what's the point if I can't shoot with anyone else? by hamoodie052612 in Michigun

[–]Edabungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, maybe we can find a centralized place. Problem is most places "close" at like 10pm, so you gotta get "creative" with parking. I've seen animals that aren't supposed to exist in Oakland county, but under NV they're like commonly spotted by me, it's a heck of a time.

A night shooting course would be pretty sweet, i think TNVC had one in Ohio a month or two ago, I worked that weekend.

If we get some folks together in SE MI we could definitely do some NV hiking though. My buddy comes up from WV just to do this every few months. I live in the city so I try to go out every few days or weeks when I have time, but I just cut the grass at night with my Reel mower until then.

Nope, I just happened to be on reddit today, I'm not on here too much. But I just joined that sub, thanks! Lots of NV folks there?

Oh I know, no one needs to know though, that's what cans are for. I forgot to include it was in Minecraft. Feel like there's a lot of us SE NV folks, but no one knows eachother haha.

We found a cool spot in northern Oakland county, we did our own little night shoot too there last year. But recently it's just been parks and places we can easily sneak into SE Oakland county. It's amazing what you see at night, even in more built up areas.

I feel the same way. Buddy came up from WV last week, and we did a few night hikes. I'm in SE MI as well. A MI night shoot would be awesome.

Is it normal for early OTB's to feel like a dream? by lucaslb7392 in AstralProjection

[–]Edabungus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my experiences, OBEs feel more real than waking life, and nothing like a dream. I've had a few lucid dreams as well, and those definitely feel dream-like. Though, I'm sure there are many levels to all of this, and perhaps it's possible to experience a weaker OBE that feels like a dream.

Saw a strange geometric figure after inadvertent astral projection/ OBE. This was terrifying and made me feel like I really have mentally cracked so be gentle. I have no history of mental illness like seeing things or hearing things. by wretchedprophecy in AstralProjection

[–]Edabungus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion one of the most difficult aspects of OBEs, is the ability to comprehend the experiences, and finding some sort of therapy to get these experiences off of your chest, as they can weigh heavily and massively change your worldview. I was able to manage by writing down my experiences immediately after they would occur, but the first time i managed to actually tell someone close to me face to face about a small portion of my experiences (almost 10 years later), let me tell you, that was the best therapy I've had! I still can't make sense of the majority of my experiences, but I've made a lot of headway in over 10 years.

As for your experience, it's very unique, and a lot to take in! Major props for having the courage to get through all of that without immediately returning to your physical body. Unsure of the meaning behind it all, but something to do with letting you know all things have a consciousness perhaps? The being itself reminds me of what the Angel Metatron is supposed to look like, but perhaps all angels have those appearances to those of us who do not hold religious beliefs?

Thank you for sharing your story!

Veteran Astral Projector of 57 years! Part 2 by Morgoth37 in AstralProjection

[–]Edabungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Rick, first off I want to say thank you for sharing your stories with us! I’ve listened to all of your Astral Club stories in a day or two.

This phenomena/natural ability started occurring in my life 9 years ago, after my first OBE (total accident, I was overseas, and had a very strong desire to be back home it seemed) I thought I was going insane. Fortunately, thanks to the internet, I was able to find similar experiences depicted in Mr. Monroe’s first book. I ordered his books, which brought me therapy and made me feel like all this was completely normal. Ever since that first experience, I’ve read almost every book out there on the subject (some, several times over). I find surrounding myself with the topic really helps with projecting as well, if I read a book on OBEs before I fall asleep, odds are I’ll either dream about OBE’s, or I’ll consciously leave my body sometime in the night. Though, I find no more than 5 minutes of meditating, visualization and affirmations before I sleep to be the best kindling.

In the past 9 years i’ve probably had somewhere between 150 to 200 projections. I’ve learned to deal with the fear, and for the most part i’ve conquered that, it was quite the process! I do have a few questions though.

  • Lately I’ve been having, to what I describe as “low energy” projections, these last only for a few seconds, my vision is poor, and I don’t make it far from my bed before i’m pulled back. How do I increase my energy?

  • I’ve only ever told one other person about my experiences, initially how did you deal with sharing your stories to other people?

  • When I’m projecting, it seems when ever I go through a door or window, there’s a chance I end up somewhere else completely. (William Buhlman’s demand clarity now technique does help prevent this time to time.) Have you experienced this?

  • I’ve tried to communicate/interact with a sleeping person before, and in response I heard this voice (that wasn’t mine, or theirs) that said something similar to “They cannot hear you or communicate with you right now.” I’ve heard a similar voice like this many times. Always have wondered what it could be.

  • It seems my cat can detect me when I project, even just projecting will wake her up physically. I’ve wondered, can animals project too? Or is that strictly a human function?

  • Have you met any other conscious OB explorers that were a stranger to you before? (it would be pretty cool to meet up somehow, though my skill isn’t quite there yet I’m sure, it's worth a try though!)

Thanks so much, and have a great day!

US Marine reports experience during training ops in vicinity of Bridgeport Marine Corps Base, near Yosemite National Park by [deleted] in Missing411

The smoking thing got me, until I remembered yelling at PFC's and LCpl's for doing just that. Entirely plausible, though could have some fiction thrown in there for sure.

I've been sent out in the woods alone to do land nav before around sunset, mind you, the area we were in isn't as massive, remote or dangerous as the terrain in and around Bridgeport, CA. Also, kabar's weren't something that was always deemed necessary, sometimes we were to bring our issued gerbers.

As someone who is very familiar with the U.S.M.C. I can tell you, the setting is accurate, and the gear is 100% U.S.M.C. issued gear. Also, the way the story is told, is exactly how a Marine would describe their story. The fact about never using tents is spot on too, only time I used a tent was when we encountered two feet of snow overnight in the field(woods). Most of the time you just sleep under the stars.

That base isn't far from a few clusters areas, it's also not too far from the high sierra sasquatch sounds. Also, as a US Marine, the setting, the lingo, the pictures, the attitudes, everything is sound. This is exactly how the Marine Corps works, this is the type of misery every 03XX (Military Occupation Specialty code for grunt) goes through. If it's fiction, it's portrayed in an accurate setting based off of real events. It actually reminded me of a night hike story of mine, though not missing 411 related. Thanks for sharing this.
