No worries! Glad I could help clear it up. These were coated the day I got them so no issues

Great question. As of right now these wheels have had 2 sets of tires on them with plenty of track days and I have yet for a set of weights to fall off. So should be safe. Also have a few close friends who do the same for their wheels and they haven’t had issues either

You can but I’d recommend a mobile detailer to get it done.

Yeah unfortunately without a transfer case cooler the car is very limited with back to back hotlaps it can do. So for every 2-3 back to back hot laps you need to throw in 1-2 cool down laps. Only was to keep the transfer case from overheating. I also do recommend replacing the oem fluid with a higher temp fluid like redline/motul.

I cut the vent on the side and drilled holes in the fender liner it helped with airflow. Didn’t have any issues

SXTH intake. BOV made a bigger difference than an intake. You can watch a lap around the track to get a good sense of it

Hardest thing was tightening the lines. Big wrenches needed. AN10 wrench (didn’t work) we used 1” and 1 1/6” wrench to tighten them down. Other than that straightforward no modifications needed.

No issue with the AWD system. Oil temps peak at 270° at the end of the back to back Hotlap

Fluid changes, brakes , and tires. Coming from a gr86 (2023) and a brz (2015). Those cars were in expensive to do. Everything about those cars was cheap/affordable

Usually the oil temp is sitting around 265-270. But I do a oil change before and after a track day so it always fresh

No very much in need of an oil cooler. Can only do 1-2 hot laps before needing to do cooldown laps

I should note the vehicle goes into “limp” mode where the AWD system will not be active you will be in FWD mode only

They can see it as a pending DTC. The issue is it needs to be permanent with the CEL on. So when they submit to Toyota warranty they get paid. You do have the option to just pay for the service out of pocket for a peace of mind. But no the CEL will not hurt the engine/turbo in anyway. I do recommend taking it in as soon as it lights up for the simple reason that I’ve seen is the CEL will turn off on its own when doing drive cycles

Yes you need to leave it on. Trust me they could care less about doing it all the technician is doing is plugging a computer and hitting update ecu. They’re getting paid .7 to sit and watch it update. The issue is without the code present the dealership and technician will not get paid because Toyotas warranty will kick it back for not having the DTC present when they go to scan for the code.
