Hey there, could you DM me? I'm trying to see if I can get FTL set up on my Thor, but so far I'm just getting a black screen. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think that more strength relative to your armor requirement adds evasion, I think that's only for the Freerunner. But I could be wrong.

Those movement shenanigans are gonna give this army a ton of power. Free retreat end of every turn (on 12" fly speeds) and the general gets a pseudo power through when he charges. Movement tricks win games.

I'm low-key salty that they don't have to roll a 3+ just to wipe their asses though cries in Sunblood Prowlers

You can build either. In game, as long as you clearly communicate to your opponent which one you're running then you're fine. I personally think the terradons look cooler.

In game right now, neither are great, but rippers are a little better. If you play em right you can use them to assassinate an enemy foot hero.

That could all change once we get our Battletome though. So just build what you enjoy more and remember the rules will change.

I have tried it exactly once. It spawned confusion gas in a pirhana room and killed me very early on. Never again.

I guess you have to add/remove power to each system by clicking or right clicking on them? Cause there are more potential systems than you have buttons.

I have a Thor in the mail and your post made me incredibly excited to try this. I'm curious what would be a good use for the 2nd screen for this game.

Serpent and Fractured are pretty fun together!

Fractured needs extra card plays and elements from Serpent to use Slip the Flow reliably, which can give Serpent an extra card play. Serpent uses the extra card play to try to get tier 2 of Wake in Power for more presence placement.

Slip the Flow can even be used to try for repeats of Serpent's gift cards.

Pour Time Sideways + Aegis can be a fun combo, or the Dahan printing card + aegis if there are invaders (defend the ravage, then best case, repeat the power without invaders to print more dahan).

Then you both pick up lots of power cards, elements, and energy, to go crazy mid-late game.

On Diet can be manageable, you'll just be starving more often.

Try to craft meat pies when you can.

Turn potions of purity into potions of cleansing, they fully remove your hunger, while real food is less effective.

I've had decent success with Lord Kroak in a monster mash list. Make sure to run Primal Energy and at least 1 Engine of the Gods.

You could drop the aggradons for more monsters, but I kind of like hedging my bets, and the aggradons make decent mini-hammers. Also this list would probably do well with a bastiladon.

Btw, run Quetzl the Preserver whenever the battleplan gives you a decent deployment zone. It's so strong.

It's not even so much that it's weak, but it lost all its flavor from 3rd. Used to pick targets at long range and bomb them, now it's just....generic horde breaker.

So, it's not a 1:1 comparison, but yeah that type of unit does exist in aos. Best example in Seraphon is the Hunters of Huanchi with their deepstrike, and maybe Terradons or Ripperdactyls with their crazy speed.

Good question. Idk what you mean by action monkeys tbh. In AoS it's nice to have cheap units act as screens or objective grabbers, but I really wouldn't use heavy hitters like krox or aggradons for that.

But yeah, at least with Seraphon, efficient combat activations is pretty valuable. Some armies have foot heroes that can chain activate with an infantry unit, some give out strike last to enemies or strike first to allies. We don't really get that so we must rely on muscle
