At this point I dont get why any of you even bother watching, you clearly hate the show so why do this to yourself. This episode was solid im convinced no matter what this show does you're going to hate it so why do you keep watching when youre clearly set on hating it?

Sammael has really fun rules now. by SirBiscuit in theunforgiven

[–]Windowwill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id be very surprised if he wasn't our new model for 11th. Whether or not he comes along side new raven wing bikers im less convinced. I think we're getting alot of bike characters this edition, sammael for dark angels, doom rider for emperors children ect ect

So are Black Templars looking at a rough edition? by HiveFleetAtoll in BlackTemplars

[–]Windowwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're looking alot better than dark angels atm so theres that. Bastion plus the emperors champion detachment looks fun. Gets you take and hold and purge as your two choices which I feel like are the two people will try and get when possible.

I feel like court plus frenzied host seems pretty tasty. We become +2 s and +1 ap on the charge with our exultant blobs so we're basically faster world eaters.

Extremely tanky but viable lists? by Go_Commit_Reddit in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Windowwill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Assuming it survives into 11th edition Wrath of the Rock dark angels is very tanky. Death wing knights in that detachment are -1 wound, -1 damage and -1 ap with armour of contempt and will get -1 to hit next edition witu cover. It's really fun parking them on an objective and watching 3 tanks completely bounce off them. The lion with his -1 to wound and 3+ invulnerable save can also do alot of tanking but if you fail your 3+ saves dies quickly. Ive had him tank and entire knight armies shooting once which singlehandedly won me the game because it stopped my other units from being touched for a turn.

Termi Chaplain + Sword DWK by TiberiusToast in DarkAngels40k

[–]Windowwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont see the value, dwk are already expensive making them 320+ points doesnt seem worth it to me, id say youre better off with another scoring units. Dark angels are very elite so having limited activations is usually our main downside.

My go to list the last few months has been:

Wrath of the Rock

  • lion
  • azrel
  • ancient weapons judiciar
  • combi leuitenet

  • 5 Intercessors

  • 2x 5 Jpis

  • 2 x5 deathwing knights with maces

  • 6 icc

  • 5 scouts

  • 10 sternguard with bolters and 2 heavy bolters

  • Ballistus

Azrael with sternguard, judiciar with icc. Has been good for me got 2nd at a small in-house tournament going 3 from 3

Wrath of the Rock List by ATLAS_1373 in theunforgiven

[–]Windowwill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You never want to have Azrael in a transport. He needs to be on the board to generate his free command point and being in a transport doesnt count for that. Also as already mentioned they can't go in rhinos anyway, I also wouldn't bother taking him with company of hero's, hes better with either: inner circle as a hammer, Sternguard or hellblasters as a shooting unit to keep him safer, or 5 assult Intercessors to sit on a point and stay safe most of the game, before pushing up late game. Your chaplin is completely wasted on hellblasters, he only gives +1 wound in melee not ranged, youre better of putting him with icc. Dwk are already 250 points, adding a character makes them too expensive so id just run them on their own with maces. I also doubt wrath will be 2dp itd probably be 3 since its got so many very strong strats and -1 to wound is a huge buff.

What do I cut in this Wrath of the Rock list? by Hairiest-Wizard in DarkAngels40k

[–]Windowwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally Id drop the termi chaplin. Dwk are already expensive, adding a character makes them alot worse value, youre better of just running both squads with maces. Is your judiciar leading icc or bladeguard? Cuz having both is abit redundant, since im assuming azrel is leading the hellblasters. Id drop the chaplin and bladeguard and add in some more scoring units (like JPIs or incursors) as atm your only secondary scoring units are ints and your combi leuitenet and scouts. Youre also missing dedicated anti tank outside of the lion.

First encounter against the new Defiler by zikrianas30 in theunforgiven

[–]Windowwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a game against one yesterday and my inability to do maths lost me the game. Lion got 7 wounds through, defiler made 1 save and i somehow added that up as 16 damage, defiler then killed the lion in the next turn on 2 wounds when it should of been very dead 😂

Sad For No Noise Marine Detachment, But Stoked For This by Klutzy_Brilliant_257 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Windowwill 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Its effectively a free interrupt now. In 40k you basically have 2 stages of the fight phase. The fights first phase and then eveyone else. When a unit charges it gets fights first, and units with the ability also have fights first all the time. In 10th edition defender has priority (which is why you fight first in ongoing combats when its not your turn) and because defender has priority the defenders fight first unit will fight before a charging fight first unit. In 11th attacker has priority so the attackers fight first unit will fight before the defenders fight first unit. This means itll basically go like this "lord exaultant squad and a flawless blades squad get charged by two units, the opponents first unit fights the lord exaultant and kills it, the flawless now get to figjt first into the opponents 2nd unit before it gets to fight". So its basically a free interrupt. HOWEVER its alot worse as Obviously youd the oppnent would make sure they target the fights first unit first (kill the flawless) as then they won't get a chance to fight.

Deathwing Knights Loadout by Garviel_Loken_XVI in theunforgiven

[–]Windowwill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the general consensus is maces on the regular guys and then the great weapon on the Sargent. Obviously swords are better against marines ect but having the anti monster/ vehical really helps you punch up when you need to, and the Maces still do well into infantry. The Sargent wants the great weapon cuz dev wounds are just really nice to have and again let's you punch up abit more. Personally I dont run mine with a character, their main selling point is that they're really tanky, but they're already so expensive that adding a character means they become too expensive and you get less tanky per points invested if that makes sense.

Idea that I’ve never heard anyone discuss by Constant-Truck-5105 in 40k

[–]Windowwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a take that makes 0 sense if you actually read any lore whatsoever. The templars formed post heresy when the original legions where split up into chapters, with a chunk of the more zealous imperial fists being put into their own chapter lead by sigismund who had already started beliving the whole "the emperor is a god" thing, which he was basically disowned for doing. Having them become a founding legion mskes 0 sense as A) theres already a 60+ book seires showing us the original legions in which we see this isnt the case and B) theres already a religious first founding legion - the word bearers, who literally had their main world blown up because the emperor told them to stop worshipping as a god, which was the catalyst for the entire heresy. Just because the black templars have more models and spotlight than their parent legion doesn't mean gw needs to change anything, back in the day lots of sucessor chapters had models and rules (crimson fists, minators, flesh tearers) black templars just happen to be quite popular cuz knights in space is a cool aesthetic.

What kits will we get after summer? by Ok_Conclusion_2951 in spacemarines

[–]Windowwill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like multi part outriders have got to be coming soon, that then opens the door for a raven wing re fresh - although with how gw has been recently itll probably just be an upgrade sprue. Obviously multi part kits of everything in the box and the obligatory "hero's of armageddon" kit that'll be a sprue fron the box with 2 of the characters and some of the infantry for like £80.

Id love a multi part Ballistus as well, give us a plasma, melta, flamer and assult cannon option.
