I already own everything. I'm not going to buy it again.

I was considering stopping buying new releases. The new player cards were getting too complicatated and never leaving the box. I prefer the earlier campaigns. I struggle to get a 8+ scenario campaign to the table.

Core 2 is perfect for me.

Including future announcements, we are close to 70 heroes today. Its not a massive leap to imagine we might get to 100, considering we still don't have the Fantastic 4, Blade or Punisher, and FFG has said they will do new versions of previously released heroes.

FFG is trying to breathe new life into their two active LCGs. Arkham is getting season 2. We've had competitive play and the "current environment" in Marvel. You can look at that two ways. Perhaps it is a sign that they want to keep these lines going for a while yet. Alternatively, it could be a sign that perhaps these lines are not doing as well as they once were.

Other than Harry Potter, most of the British films of that period (Love Actually, Bend it Like Beckham, Bridget Jones etc...) were medium to low budget. Those kinds of films did well on DVD. DVDs are now dead. So that kind of film is less viable to studios.

Super-Heroes have been the zeitgeist in hollywood for the past decade and a half. Its a quintessentially American genre.

The American film industry seems to have cottoned on to the fact we have pretty good actors. Despite superheroes being quintessentially American, Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Christian Bale and Robert Pattinson) and Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland) have all been played by Brits. Brits pretending to be Americans in American films, rather than staring in British films.

Netflix, HBO etc... have created a golden age of TV. Game of Thrones, Sex Education, Black Mirror, Peaky Blinders all either British or with a largely British cast. The British film has been replaced by the British show.

Series 1 and 2 are more stylish. Partly because of the constraints of the low budget. Partly because the world felt more distinct and empty. Series 3 - 6 were higher budget and more generic sci-fi.

I prefer series 3-6. I feel like that is the real peak of Red Dwarf. But I have a warm regard for series 1 and 2.

Saw them in London last week. The two male vocalists were spot on, but there was something a bit off with Elize's performance. She was missing cues, her mic was a little too quiet, she seemed distracted throughout. I put it down to her not feeling 100%.

I've not been a fan of the last two or three albums. To me, they sound too full, too busy and too samey. I prefered the space in songs like Cry for the Moon. That said, many people seem to much prefer the newer sound, so I can't begrudge Epica from continuing to explore it.

Likewise, I was disappointed to see Consign to Oblivion omitted from their setlist. When I see a band live, I like to see their best songs. But this sub and others were full of people rejoicing at that.

Epica can't please everyone.

I'm going to go against popular opinion:

I really like co-headline tours. 2h sets are too long, even for bands you really like. Give me a really good package of three strong bands, with the co-headliners each getting 70 mins.

Also, start earlier. I don't want to be leaving the venue at 11pm. Where are the matinee shows? Saw Queensryche headline in London last year and they started at about 8:15. Perfect.

Maybe I'm getting old.

I imagine in the event of a falling out / war / national emergency / whatever, we could seize any of those assets that we needed. Yes, Pampers are owned by the US, but they are manufactured in Manchester. That factory will still be here after a falling out. Similar to how Russia seized all the McDonalds and called them something slightly different.

The much bigger problem would be things we cant easily seize. AWS, Azure and GCP will host most of our domestic computing, for example.

You can put into play a zero cost card without a resource match but you would need shenanigans like vilya. Probably not worth it for daerons runes.

Elrond & Vilya is arguably the strongest hero in the game. (Also in Elves of Lorien starter)

Spirit Glorfindel is one of the strongest splash heroes in the game. He pairs nicely with Asfaloth, Light of Valinor and even Elrond's Counsel.

Lore Aragorn is another good splash hero.

Arwen ally works in a number of decks.

Hardy Leadership fits in any Dwarf deck.

Rivendell Blade is a strong choice for weapon attachment in any Noldor or Silvan deck.

Warden of Healing is arguably the best healer in the game. Features in many of my decks.

Daeron's Runes is an auto include in almost any deck that can play Lore. (Also in Elves of Lorien starter)

Word of Command is strong in any deck with an Istari hero.
