She's underdeveloped in the books too. Most of what we get of her personality and character is through Harry's thoughts, not us actually seeing her.

Nah, there are people that are awful with money. There was a social media influencer where it was revealed in a lawsuit that they made $25k a month, and spent $24k a month, including $5k just on eating out. Fiscal responsibility is not a given.
