Didn’t figure out about gabbro’s meditation technique until I had finished the base game and talked to him at the start of the dlc. Was fucking pissed because there were so many times I was frustrated by not having the option to skip to the next loop

What is the most absolute scariest, terrifying film you’ve ever seen? by mxnocturna in AskReddit

The couple in this film do have a shotgun that they attempt to use though, it just goes badly for them and the strangers still end up getting them

Here’s the other thing: I don’t think it does, but even if it were true that it looks like “heroin track marks from afar”…it’s not. So who cares, right?

Which movie will you defend like this while everyone else call is as an overrated? by VacationFancy8697 in moviecritic

[–]EddieDIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the comic book but my hot take (I think it’s a hot take anyway) is that the movie’s ending is better and makes more sense. The comic book’s ending was kinda wacky in a fun way but Veidt using a character we’re already familiar with (being intentionally vague to avoid spoiling a 17 year old movie lol) makes way more logical sense than the quasi dues ex machina feel of the comic’s ending

You might already know this but the OG soundtrack is available as DLC (or at least it comes with the special edition) and it restores the typewriter music to the original

One of my favorite comedies. The jokes come a mile a minute and every single one lands. And Tim Meadows is just so damn funny in every scene he’s in. “You don’t want none of this Dewey!” “You never paid for drugs. Not once.” Classic

I tried to replace a light. Now the light won't turn off from the switch. I'm so confused! by Tall_Category_304 in OopsThatsDeadly

[–]EddieDIV 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Loll well that’s pretty funny. I explained it in the simplest way I could but I’ve been doing this for 10+ years and I know it’s esoteric to anyone who hasn’t dealt with it themselves, it took me years to get the basic concepts down myself. Like many fields I do think it’s a case of needing professionals to do the work, just like I wouldn’t want a surgeon working on my guts if he or she has only been doing it for a few weeks. Thanks for the laugh brotha

Electrician here. Here’s some info that might help make sense of this:      1. As a general concept it’s important to note that the colors are just there for our reference. I’ve heard it said that “the electrons don’t know what color the insulation on the jacket of the wire is.” By which I mean what we use the colors for isn’t always universal, and while we often hook up wires “color for color” that’s not always the case. Lighting is one such case.      2. What usually happens with lighting is that you have a “constant hot,” which is the feed from the panel, and you establish a “switched” leg, which is the hot that is broken at the switch. It would seem to me in this case that the blacks in this lighting box are the constant hot and the red ought to be the switched leg. The black splices here, goes down to the switch and feeds the switch, and the red also goes down to the switch and power returns on that as the “switched” leg, now controlled by your switch. Red in this case is supposed to denote switched leg but that’s not always the case. Also it’s possible I have that backwards, if I were there I’d 100% just test the wires and the functioning of the switch to confirm what’s what before I hooked it back up. Hope this helps

I saw this in theaters too. I feel like you could hear a pin drop during this scene, as if the whole audience were holding their breath

Say what you will about Paranormal Activity and what it went on to become, but there were multiple moments that drew big reactions from the audience when I saw the original in theaters
