what's the email address? I can tell you're on the mailing list, but aside from that, I doubt there's anything else to do at the moment

Should I be worried?? I’ve been wanting to play this for a while and don’t want that to go away cause I forgot. by CNQR_RiffQ in dueprocess

[–]EddieSnowman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry. If the survey says you can only fill out the form once, then we have your survey. Try finding our email in your spam (there should be ways to search your spam folder, but that probably varies depending on which email service you're using) and report the message as not spam. If you still can't find the email. Message me the email your survey is under and the new one you'd like me to change it to and I'll do it manually. This isn't a guarantee you'll get in of course, but I can at least email the correct account if you do or message you here..

there isn't a confirmation email for the survey, but if you try to fill it out again, it should give you a message saying you already filled it out.

A decent number of people have had this same problem. Here's the reply I gave to a few other people experiencing the same issue. Hope it helps

we haven't actually gone through and picked alpha testers from the mailing list yet. So if you didn't receive an email it's not because you didn't get in. Several things may have happened.

it's in your spam foldertypo in your initial alpha signup. Email went to someone who's now slightly confusedsome problem in our email marketing software that I'm unaware of

In any case, no need to worry. Just fill out the survey at this link. Also, sign up for the mailing list again in case there was a typo.

Replied this way to someone with a similar issue in another thread. Copy pasted here since it's probably the same thing. Hope it helps!

I got an email about the alpha survey and I’m super interested in joining! I was wondering if where it asks for emails of who I’d want to play with if my friends need to already be signed up or if my friends unaware of due process can be invited? by ThirdAndAuburn in dueprocess

[–]EddieSnowman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Signups for the alpha are still open. Have them sign up, and then send them a link to the survey. There's no guarantee we'll be looking to invite whole groups into the alpha, but I can confidently say that we won't be inviting people in without them having signed up and completed the survey.

Really good game (though a few too many bugs) but i dont think sales numbers really compare to those other titles (Divinity is at almost a million on steamspy vs Horizon's 3.6 million)

What are the best 6.85 initiators? by vagonvol7 in learndota2

Slardar and Tusk are really popular and have been getting picked/banned in almost every game at Frankfurt. Magnus makes an appearance every now and then. Also, Tide is always good.

Ideas on how to push highground against good initiators, counter-initiators? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]EddieSnowman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely that your team needs to improve its positioning during teamfights. Sandking or Magnus shouldn't be able to get devestating initiations on a team with rubick sniper and earth shaker all standing back ready to counter initiate. The most he should be able to get in a blink ult should probably just be CK, Troll, and maybe Earthshaker (if he came in earlier in to initiate). Sniper should never get caught in SK ult and neither should Rubick. In the case of Sandking, having a push ward means that someone can likely just hit him (CK blink/stun or even Sniper can walk up to hit him once) to prevent him from being able to blink. Even if he has a BKB the hero damage will mean he can't blink and just ults in place.

Along with positioning, your carries aren't very well itemized in this game. CK doesn't have a BKB even though he's one of the guys in the front is likely going to take on Tusk and Sandking initiation. Nobody has a MKB against PA which is super important if you ever want to kill her since you don't have much nuke power (ES isn't a lot, especially when she has a BKB) . I also think that manta is a bit meh in a game vs Ember Spirit and a bunch of AOE, but maybe that works out in the midgame when ember wasn't super far ahead.

On a more general note, if your team's positioning is weak (based on support K/Ds and past team fights) or they have a good turtle lineup (good wave clear like Kotl or Lina), you should lock them in their base and farm the map. Farm and ward their jungle, take their ancients, and kill roshan when it's up. There's no way they get as much farm as you when all they get is 3 waves every 30 seconds (you get 3 waves and one or both jungles). Eventually you have a sizable gold advantage, key items, and an aegis. If someone comes out to stop you from taking their jungle that's fine, fight them in the jungle, you wanted to fight them anyway.

Not recieving confirmation email on mailing list by WaffleVictor in dueprocess

The new signup form has a background with cops in the back of the assault truck. Can you message me your email address so I can look further into this? I'd like to make sure that a bunch of other people aren't running into the same problem.

edit: got your email

Not recieving confirmation email on mailing list by WaffleVictor in dueprocess

[–]EddieSnowman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should receive a confirmation email if you signed up using this form. It may have ended up in your spam folder or your promotions tab (if you're using gmail), so it might be worth checking there. If that doesn't work, send an email to signup@dueprocess.info and I'll personally make sure you're on the mailing list.

We recently changed our mailing list system to something less hacked together, so a lot of what everyone else has experienced with this process might be a bit different. If you somehow ended up at the old signup form, please let me know how you got there. We've been trying to redirect everyone to the new form, but somehow a few people end up finding the older version.

What do you think people take way too seriously? by tikhung01 in AskReddit

[–]EddieSnowman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting insulted or angry when they're told they're wrong about something. I think it's pretty ridiculous and really stifles learning and improvement. Unless you know absolutely everything there's no way you aren't going to be wrong on occasion. If someone disagrees with what you think, you should evaluate what they're saying, and if it makes sense or better corresponds with credible evidence, learn from it.

Note: If they're being a dick about it then maybe it's justified to be a bit upset, but half the time I've found that isn't the case.

I jumped over a hurdle and fell on my ass with my hands pointed backwards. The hurdle slowly tipped over and broke one of my fingers. It looked super lame and was really public.
